Man Up The Lot Of You

Good op and sums up how i feel. Losing a top class player and replacing him with another is hardly the end of the world for me. I apprieciate Tevez efforts but losing him will not stop us getting to were we want to be in the long term.

Yes he's scored the most of our goals, but as a lone front man that's to be expected. In the game against bolton he fluffed his lines on numerous occasions, as our players were putting them on a plate for him time after time. He's one hell of a player and it will need serious quality to replace him, but it's not like that quality is out of reach is it?

I am convinced that we can actually be a better team without him. There are few players that are as good as Carlos at what he does, but do not underestimate how much having a bigger front man who can bag with his head would add to our attacking play. It'd bring a whole new dimension that isn't currently there. Silva and Kolarov and co would actually be able to whip crosses in and not just have a little midget to aim for. Other players will bring different qualities to the team which could actually improve the team on the whole

To me this isn't half as bad as when SWP wanted to go. We were so reliant on him back then that it was a huge blow for us, but we proved yesterday we can do just as well without him, and that was with a sulky, unreliable 20 year old boy up front.

If he wants to go, let him go. We'll get a good fee and I'm sick of reading about how he wants to retire every other week. If he wants out, sell him, replace him with quality and we'll continue to move forward
The Bolton game wasn't typical. He's the best forward in the Premiership at the moment and very very difficult to replace

I'd look to our own players eg Adebayor whose City career has barely ever started......if necessary. Hopefully Tevez will return and show us who he really is.

Good OP, Carlos isn't irreplaceable but I have every sympathy with him if the issue is being so far away from his young family. Under these circumstances if he wants to go and play in Argentina I'll pat him on the back and say a big "thank you" and cheer him on his way.

However, if this is all about screwing us for more money so early into his contract, Kia and Carlos can go and do one.

This has been on the cards for sure. I have been arguing about these warning signs on here for months and very few people in all honesty have faced the truth.

I argue about how a very large amount of football fans live in a fickle self deceived fantasy world. One day the scapegoat is Ireland, the next Bellamy and throughout all of those drama's, Tevez was uttering things in the press, which were merely brushed under the carpet by the 'name on the back of the shirt' loving pie arses on here. I suspect a lot of these fans are kids, who have supported City for a few years at best.

The same thing is happening again today. Now it's Kia's fault. Why? Because it has to be? The club have even made reference to it? Again, throughout this, there are still some, holding on to that constructed 'Saint Carlos' mentality.

The truth is likely to contain some form of agent influence, player unrest, issue with Mancini (well documented), and perhaps tapping up by Madrid.

However, throughout all of this, the truth remains, that Tevez is wise enough to know the politics of this. He's a top player, he isn't daft. He understands the implications. He has played THE biggest part in the acceleration of this story publically over the past year.
Nice. A pop at the fans and then a load of illogical nonsense.

Carlos is a top player therefore he is not stupid? Right o. I forgot sportsmen are all academically gifted, wait... Oh.

We can replace him, but at the same time he's currently one of the most Prolific strikers in the game right now. I don't think we'll be needing to replace him in the immediate future anyway, we've called Kias bluff.

As long as we do manage to replace him with someone equally as good then it's nit the end if the world. However that might not be as easy as we think. For me in the position we are in we can't afford a player to come in and take ten games to get used to the premiership. It therefore has to be Torres for me. Adebayor is definitely not the man and Jo and Santa cruz are not good enough.

Sky sports - payback

Apologies if i've misread the reaction of the board, but frm what i read last nite, the fact the tevez thread had got 2 60 odd pages and the posts i read this morning it seemed people were sulking. Like the sheikh said in the summer, there should be no room 4 sulking at our club

Tevez won't be easy 2 replace but we can defo do it. Cogently Expressed.
With Tevez in the lineup I can hardly recall we win matches by a large margin even though we outperform our opponents.

Am I mistaken?
