Good op and sums up how i feel. Losing a top class player and replacing him with another is hardly the end of the world for me. I apprieciate Tevez efforts but losing him will not stop us getting to were we want to be in the long term.
The Bolton game wasn't typical. He's the best forward in the Premiership at the moment and very very difficult to replaceThe Fat el Hombre said:It's not like this hasn't been coming.
It's not like we can't cope without him.
It's not like we haven't got the money to replace him.
Yes he's scored the most of our goals, but as a lone front man that's to be expected. In the game against bolton he fluffed his lines on numerous occasions, as our players were putting them on a plate for him time after time. He's one hell of a player and it will need serious quality to replace him, but it's not like that quality is out of reach is it?
I am convinced that we can actually be a better team without him. There are few players that are as good as Carlos at what he does, but do not underestimate how much having a bigger front man who can bag with his head would add to our attacking play. It'd bring a whole new dimension that isn't currently there. Silva and Kolarov and co would actually be able to whip crosses in and not just have a little midget to aim for. Other players will bring different qualities to the team which could actually improve the team on the whole
To me this isn't half as bad as when SWP wanted to go. We were so reliant on him back then that it was a huge blow for us, but we proved yesterday we can do just as well without him, and that was with a sulky, unreliable 20 year old boy up front.
If he wants to go, let him go. We'll get a good fee and I'm sick of reading about how he wants to retire every other week. If he wants out, sell him, replace him with quality and we'll continue to move forward
Nice. A pop at the fans and then a load of illogical nonsense.gio's side step said:This has been on the cards for sure. I have been arguing about these warning signs on here for months and very few people in all honesty have faced the truth.
I argue about how a very large amount of football fans live in a fickle self deceived fantasy world. One day the scapegoat is Ireland, the next Bellamy and throughout all of those drama's, Tevez was uttering things in the press, which were merely brushed under the carpet by the 'name on the back of the shirt' loving pie arses on here. I suspect a lot of these fans are kids, who have supported City for a few years at best.
The same thing is happening again today. Now it's Kia's fault. Why? Because it has to be? The club have even made reference to it? Again, throughout this, there are still some, holding on to that constructed 'Saint Carlos' mentality.
The truth is likely to contain some form of agent influence, player unrest, issue with Mancini (well documented), and perhaps tapping up by Madrid.
However, throughout all of this, the truth remains, that Tevez is wise enough to know the politics of this. He's a top player, he isn't daft. He understands the implications. He has played THE biggest part in the acceleration of this story publically over the past year.
