Power wanking on Star.
Its obvious our owners who know fuck all about football, want to create the Harlem Globetrotters footballing equivalent in Manchester City. And to be fair, who can blame them. Theyre not bound by the history of the game because they don't really understand it. So naively they may think, lets buy the best players in the world for every position available - Bingo.

So then they approach their inherited manager MH and ask him, with and open cheque book who would you sign, money - not a problem. The reply, Parker, Bellamy.

These guys are probably astounded MH's lack of their vision. People say it would never work, you cant have 11 superstars playing alongside each other who will play as a team, play as a unit. Bollox, no one knows because its never been done.

So i say fuck it, lets find a manager who shares the vision and is up for the challenge. Its an experiment in football that will probably only ever happen the once and Man City could make history if we pull it off.

Fuck, RSC, Bellamy, Parker and co. Give me Buffon, Villa, Kaka and Messi anyday. I dont know who it is, but there must be one Manager on the planet who can manage the ego's, make it work and lift all honours. Even if it is just for one season.

Forget football as you know it. Dont be bound by what you've seen before. This is Manchester City were talking about.

Oh yeah Real Madrid. Lets have a look:

Historically, Real Madrid is Spain's most successful team, having won 57 domestic trophies, and one of the most recognized football clubs in the world, having won 18 European trophies, making them the second most winning team in Europe and third in the world for official international competition won, all recognized by UEFA and FIFA. The club was placed first in the FIFA Clubs of the 20th Century's selection on 23 December 2000.[81] It also received the FIFA Order of Merit in 2004.[82] Added to this, Real is allowed to wear the UEFA Badge of Honour on their shirt during UEFA Champions League matches as they have won more than five European Cups.[13]

Fuck it we wouldnt want to follow that model would we.

Who said our owners know nothing about football? The Globetrotters aren't basketball players, they are basketball tricksters. If our owners have been badly advised, it's in not doing it quickly, if it were to be done at all...I wonder who gave them that advice?

You said the right word- Historically!!

The term “Galáctico“ has become a bad word in football since Real Madrid’s experiment of every year bringing in “superstars” failed.

Los Merengues went through chaos in that time period with too many coaches and too few trophies especially considering the talent they bought. The Galáctico time period from 2002-2006 saw Real Madrid become the richest club in football but it was also an era of bad personnel decisions.

Sound familiar?????? It could very easily happen again!
