i reckon i'm going to call it a day on this thread. i've told people for years that earle was born in moss side and was a city fan.

I think he might have been a City fan. That certainly rings a bell. You do know that black people aren't all born in Moss Side, don't you ? ;-)

Quick story regarding Paul Warhurst if I may? I was one of a crew of lads who fitted the seats in the Kop End at Sheffield Wednesday back in the early 1990's. Anyway it's when they had that decent team Hurst, Waddle, Woods etc. And Trevor Francis was putting a few of the players through the paces on the pitch. At the end of it Mr Warhurst spotted the City hat I was wearing and jogged over for a chat for 5 minutes or so. He's a big Blue without a doubt and seemed a really nice lad.
