Manchester City 5-2 Tottenham Hotspur - 94/95

In my minds eye before clicking on the video I have uwe playing and scoring ....

It was billed as the German derby between Rosler and Klinsman, unfortunately Uwe was injured for the game.
My dad was working on platt lane in the weeks building up to the game and was interviewed by German T.v./Radio (never seen or heard anything about it, shame) such was the buzz around the two strikers.
Without Uwe we were amazing that day. Spurs played there part but our front four were unbelievable that day, great memories.

Yeah i was there also relocated to the north stand spurs played a vitrual 2-3-5 vrs our 4-2-4 great game didnt think dibble had played that game but he did ric flitcroft and lomas that day were like 2 men possesed. Some great football that season and great results even though our league postion wasnt great everton at home and blackburn away just 2 games to mention.

Were you there?

One of the best City games and performances from the 1990’s.

John Motson after the game:

“The finest match I’ve seen this season. Indeed, the best in entertainment & attacking context that I’ve been privileged to see for many years in the English league.

This was a throwback to how football used to be and hopefully how it’s getting to be again now”

A pretty incredible statement from Motson there at the end of the game. You’d never get a commentator making comments like that about non title competing sides now.

That was an absolutely quality game. Both teams looked like they could score every attack.

Was sat in the block between the North Stand and Main Stand, J Block (?).

Guy behind me kept abusing their brilliant Romanian but was calling him Ceausescu!

Andy Dibble's shirt from the game....The only time Dibble would wear this style.

Sat in the open kippax next to a spurs fan who'd come down from Edinburgh and paid big money for a ticket outside....at least he got to see an entertaining game...
