We have'nt been trophyless for 40 years!

We won a cup in 1976 you know. Even I can remember it.

Trying to emphasise how long we haven't won a trophy, but do you think I should just say 35 years instead?

Trophyless for the better part of three decades.

Would be one option.

NO NO,It;s 33 years..That is so important,as the rags went many years without a trophy also in their history.Ok it also included the war years, but football WAS played during that time. Please get this one right as it WILL be facts I can use against the low life scum when we finally put a trophy on the shelf.

How things have changed.

Ex.-Thailand Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, the Manchester City chairman at the time, had just sacked Sven-Göran Eriksson for a supposed unsuccessful season, despite their highest ever league finish in his first season in charge. The future looked bleak thereafter as Shinawatra's future as Manchester City chairman was put under heavy scrutiny as allegations for fraud from the Thailand government had befallen him and manager-less Manchester City were in ruin.

[/b]

I think we finished higher in 2005, and should really read second highest ever premier league league finish.
