Manchester City Centre

walking through picaddily gardens the other day. there were so many homeless people, in every doorway or sleeping on benches. a lot of them were completely out of it. the city centre is getting worse for it and you can see people openly selling drugs ( has always happened) in picaddily gardens in the middle of the day. the centre has turned into such a shithole.

In the past, it wasn't ever done as openly as nowadays. They nearly always at least made a show of doing it 'privately' .... Now it is so blatant. Also, smoking a joint walking down the street (in town, and in the suburbs) appears to be the norm, and accepted in society now ....

yea you can smell weed pretty much most places in the town centre. i think it is the norm now, i went to stockport college a few years ago and the place smelt of weed quite a bit aha. as you say its so obvious, especially in picaddily gardens. you can see groups of them selling drugs openly. if you walk through it after a night out, theres always large groups of people all selling it around there.

Don't think it happened much in Piccadilly gardens during 1939-45, they were too busy dodging the Luftwaffe bombs

I was over for the game yesterday, and Market Street is awash with beggars in doorways. Piccadilly Gardens too. Sad to see people struggling like that.

there are a lot who aren't actually homeless. in stockport for instance there is a man with a dog who regularly begs outside a pet store, who isn't homeless and lives in a leafy big house in wilmslow. the city centre epsically around pica dilly 'gardens' is a shithole, full of drug dealers.

Does he speak with a Govan accent and sport a purple nose?
