Im afraid we will turn into Chelsea.

I'm afraid we'll turn into Arsenal, ambitionless with an ambitionless manager who couldn't win an egg and spoon race.
You cant be serious? please tell me this is a wind up? Is this how you seen city over the last couple of years?

did you see last nights thrashing by madrid,2 players sent off,he is really in control of his team

Yes I did and I can't really be arsed repeating the same points about 'context', but Malaga have a very thin squad that has been stretched all season by Champions League football and are now out of steam (and both players and coach not being paid by the owner which can't help). Plus they were down to 9 men by the end of the match. At one point the match was 2-1 and then 3-2 but the red cards had their effect. This same Malaga team when much fresher and with 11 men beat Real Madrid 3-2 earlier this season. Really, it was little different to when we lost 3-0 at home to Arsenal after Boyata was sent off in 10 minutes except that Malaga have far fewer options than us to call on.

I stand by what I said, Pellegrini is a fantastic coach who is very well respected, moreso by non-City fans than City fans it seems. I think if, I stress IF, he is appointed he will make a lot of people eat their words. He would bind the team together well and get the team playing wonderful attacking football.

Edit: Put it this way if people need soothing about the possibility, he's a much better coach than Moyes is, that's for sure. His squad is probably similar quality to Everton's this season and was one lousy offside call away from being in the Champions League semi final. How do you think Moyes' Everton would have done in the CL?

no chance, it's just the fact that Mancini is too stubborn to work with Txiki.

Pellegrini is willing to.
This we know is BS Mancini has stated he works very well with Txiki and they share the same view how to do things, compared to Marwood who Mancini when public with his critism.

I see buying mediocrity like Rodwell, Garcia, Maicon and Sinclair instead of world class players and then letting a title-winning and cup winning manager go for a guy who's won sod all as going down that path. Sacking him raises the expectation about the results of the new guy coming in hugely and when that guy's CV is shit compared to his predecessor the tolerance level and leeway drops massively, the law of making risky business decisions, people get fidgety when you don't do it by the book.

Best case if he replaces RM that they say we split by mutual consent, or Roberto would like to go home to Italy or something, because people won't like this man just because who he'd be replacing.

May very well be, but i believe alot of city fans me included, just dont think its worth is to fire the man who made us who we are, who has given us trophies every season and will finish second this year when we have had fuck know how many injuries, remember we only player our first eleven twice this year. I would be ashamed if we were to thank him by kick him out. I think the word is loyalty.

-- Fri May 10, 2013 2:26 am --

You blame Garcia, Maicon and Sinclair on Mancini? the first two maybe was Mancinis third or even fourth choice (we know which players he wanted) Mancini have repeatadly critizied MarWood for last summer transfer window.
PS.
Rowell will turn out an excellent signing.

In my humble opinion this thread has run it's course and needs to be locked by the mods.

I can't believe the Cup Final is only 48 hours away and we are discussing this shite started by the Rag media.

Even if this all proves to be true, surely there is a better time (say 3 weeks time) we can discuss it to death!!

Nobody in the UK is reporting though, which no matter what you say about our print media, speaks volumes.

Sources and reports for this story are scarce.

Does anyone really think that the club would allow for any such information to be leaked 48 hours before our biggest game of the season? Unless of course, it's bollocks...

Chilean media reported this over a month ago
