Manchester City close on Pellegrini (merged)

It should have become clear by now that the ADUG do not talk to the media, nor do they leak information or allow it to be leaked.

Look back at every single day of the last 3 years and you will find nothing has ever come from an inside source. The idea that players, past, present, or future for that matter, would be privvie to information about the club's strategic level management plan is ridiculous.

The reasons the ADUG are able to exercise such control over information is simple - money and influence. The UAE royals have money and influence that goes far beyond football. MCFC is just a small part of what they do and they've been doing their buisiness on a global scale and avoiding publicity for a long time before us. If there was to be a change of manager, you'd hear about it first on the OS.

The Malaga based journo Javi Martin basically said earlier that Pellegrini is gonna wait till the season is over and sit down with the owner and mgmt and see what their plans are and if he doesn't like them he's gonna leave. He made it seem like we have an offer on the table as well and that if it gets done it will be after he meets with the owner to determine the future.

It's the norm other managers using the threat of better offers or another job so they get a better offer from there club. Wasn't Pellegrini been linked to Chelsea as well as us? As he been linked to any other club?

It must be terrible following a team that's currently going through the most successful period in nearly half a decade and not be able to fully enjoy it because you don't rate the manager. Just enjoy the good times and stop sounding like those horrible ***** from the outskirts of Manchester.. Obviously if you sound like one because you are then my apologies.

German by birth , attended some of the games in 97 as a kid when my father was seconded to England. If i qualify for the apology then i accept it , just a difference in opinion , otherwise i think we both want the betterment of the Club.

It's all very simple for me, we keep Mancini I'm happy, we don't I'm a bit disappointed but still happy. It's such a blessed time to follow City there really is no way to look at it in any other than a positive light. I know the football purists and armchair managers like to look at it in more detail but to tell you the truth I'm content with my own way, a way which will include my 5th trip to wembley in 3 years when before that it had been once in 30!

This 100%, perfectly put.

The only fuckin thing he hasn't been linked with is the Eurovision song contest!
