Manchester City - Premier League Champions 2022/23

What I love about this season is that when Pep won it the first time, we were told we’d have to retain it to be considered great.

Then when we won two in a row, the media told us that it didn’t count unless we won the CL.

Now we’ve won 3 in a row and are favourites in the FA Cup and CL, they’ve moved past whether we can be considered great and now we’re a threat to football.

There’s nothing we can do that will appease those shit cunts that chose a red club and went into football journalism in the 90’s because they thought they’d be paid to wax lyrical on the teams they chose to support, safe in the knowledge that they’re meaningless existence would be bolstered by feel part of a side that always won.

Well you picked wrong you cunts (Delaney, Ronay, Ziegler et al) and hope the pain of our success kills you deep to the core.

He is, look up, he's got his City shirt on.

As with all our beloved who have gone before us they remain part of the timeless and eternal blue thread that binds us together.

(and whenever I think about the multitude of blues above us in the Kippax in the sky, I'm just glad their approach to sanitation is clearly better than it was back in the day on the Kippax down here :-) )

This one just feels special. Arsenal are a very good side but in the end experience across the board was the difference. I was nice to reel them in and then leave them in the dust like we did. Must admit it’s a little disappointing to not win it during a game though. Good for pep to have 3 games to give players a run out who deserve some more minutes (Rico for sure).

“…certainly it’s non-British, we don’t recognise greatness that easily, and this is greatness we’re talking about. 5 in 6… 3 on the bounce, 3 that he’s won very different… you win a title with Aguero, 21 goals at the top of the pitch. You win a title with a false 9, you win a title with a freak 9. They can find different ways of winning football and winning the Premier League. And the underlying thing for me about Manchester City is the hunger with which they play. They’re champions who play like challengers, they don’t take a day off, they make the opposition submit. You tap out in football terms. They have so much possession and so much dominance… we’ve never seen football like this in the Premier League.” — Robbie Earle
