Manchester City - Premier League Champions 2022/23

Blimey, you’re older than me;)
Went to all 42 league matches in 1967/68, I just had a feeling that we would do well that year. Last match at Newcastle and the BBC sent their cameras to Old Toilet for the Rags match v Sunderland.

Rags lost and we won a thriller 4-3 at St. James Park, what a night we had afterwards.

I was at Newcastle in 1968 too mate. Also Wembley 1969 and 1970 and (like you IIRC) Vienna 1970. I was beyond ecstatic when we won those trophies but never in my wildest dreams did I think that City would achieve the level of sustained success that we have over the last 13 seasons. And yes, that Agueroooo! moment was the best ever.
Good on you mate, must have bumped into you somewhere along the way.

Do you remember all the different forms of transport employed by the fans to get to that final match in 1968.

I'll take a bit this and have a me too moment

Laporte absolutely distraught there. For all the rumours of him being a difficult character etc he's never complained or kicked off, always got on with his job and produced some big moments. On his day he is a complete rolls Royce. If he's off we will miss him big time
Make no mistake he was the main reason we won it last season, playing though injury and probably meant he wasn't up to it early this season and can't get back into the first 11 now....it's a cruel game
