Manchester City releases 2023-24 Annual Report | Record £715m revenue, profit of £73m

I just want to point out that if Man City would have charged £0 for every single ticket for every single game in every single cup last season for all stands AND the corporate hospitality, then they would have still made a profit.
Does that include league games?

City dont and wont overpay.

There is a market price and thats it !!
And nor should they.

The last thing we need now, is to panic buy and pay over the odds with big wages for a number of players that in the long run won’t be good enough.

Hopefully, there are some calmer heads at the Etihad than on here.

And that's why we are where we are now.
Unfortunately when a Trillionaire goes shopping they add a few quid on. You pay it or you lose out. May not be fair, but that's life.

Keep hearing the phrase "panic buying".
Er no - it's necessary spending.

Even Season Tickets…

Let’s say the average ticket is £750 and we have 35,000 of them, that comes to £26.25m.

What can their justification for prices of season tickets being increased by £30-50 a season be? That equates to just £1.05m (at a £30 increase per ST) and £1.75m (at a £50 increase per ST).

City could have frozen the price of season tickets since the TV Revenue went up massively from around 2015 and still made a profit over the decade.
They could argue about £1.75m in a transfer negotiation and give a club £75m for a player instead of £76.75m, or we could sell a player for £36.75m instead of £35m. We could offer every player in the 25 man squad just £1,347/week less on their next contract extension - I’m sure someone on £135/week won’t care that their next contract will be for £168,653/week instead of £170k/week.

Pass it on to the long serving loyal local fanbase then.

Bayern have also got record profits yet they have 16,000 (yes, SIXTEEN THOUSAND!) season tickets under €350, many as low as €250. Their record profits are not based on milking every last penny out of their fans as they can. So it’s proven that clubs can be financially successful without doing that.

City; you do not get a trophy for winning the Deloitte Money league. You do disenfranchise and disengage your local support when you price them out or don’t offer them new season tickets if they want to be part of a new stand though.

Reduce season ticket prices, or freeze them for a decade, or give fans with an ‘M’ post code or ‘0161’ area code a discount on them and matchday tickets… or all of those things.
SERIOUSLY - :

It would useful for posters to list just five sensible/deliverable actions that the club could take to reverse to disenfranchising of loyal hard working, cash strapped fans in a very difficult economic environment.

If they dont, following these results and the huge push back from our fan base, it will confirm once and for all that the club is prepared to stand guilty of a complete disregard for us and the alianisation will accelerate as fans act as they see fit by joining thousands who have stopped going to games.

You are at a dangerous tipping point City, and i suggest you read The Sheikh's letter to the clubs fan base following his investment,as your actions are diametricly opposed to his wishes !!

Hope they add another 100 quid to season tickets next year, we can get to 720 million, announcing these figures pisses me off when genuine blues are being priced out or can barely afford an occasional game, they can shove their record profits and remember what our club is actually about, and isn’t day trippers from Barcelona on a jolly up
