FFS. So Aston Villa have morphed into Real Madrid and Gabby Agbonlahor has morphed into Lionel Messi.
I know there are no easy games in the league but the next 2 are at home and we should win these.
I am that confident I changed my password at work today to Champions2014. Flap away ;-)

If we attack you it will be about 7-0. If we defend it will only be 4 or 5. A lot of you are hyping us up far too much, we are crap trust me. Ok we beat you at home but most of our fans admit it was the flukiest win of the season, you battered us and we had 3 shots. Lambert is a clueless buffoon and I don't believe a word he says, if he says he's going to attack then we'll probably play with ten men behind the ball. We went to Palace and played for a 0-0 draw and played for a 0-0 at home to Southampton. We are one of the luckiest teams to ever stay up this season.

I like Lamb, did a great job Colchester and Norwich, now he's been told to reduce the wage bill and keep you in the Premiership. The inconsistency is obviously going to happen with a bunch of youngsters.

I am with you, the danger of pre match discussion threads is that negativity tends to snowball, people are frightened to say anything positive, because they get accused of somehow cursing us, we have many posters who are afraid of having any hope in case they get hurt if it does not turn out the way they think it should, and some posters wear their pessimism like a badge of honour, I remember I made a confident prediction before Sunderland, and a couple of them reposted it after the game, I think they were trying to convince themselves that their way of thinking was the right way.

I think we will win 3 nil

Anyone else a couple of weeks ago believe these next two games were pretty much dead certs but now they're he are starting to shit it?

yh, it's the fluky aspect that scares us shitless.

City will be no better this season than they were the last.

Silva - Will be a flop, Small, Flair driven Foreigners rarely make it in the Premier League.
Toure - May add some steel, but thats nothing they didnt have before with De Jong.
Milner - A good player, a fine player for a team competing at their current level, but isnt going to take you from the periphery of the champions league to title contenders.

Theyve done little to resolve their main weakness, being their defense.

Their players will need time to gel, again.

The foreign players will need time to adapt.

Theyve already taken steps to replace their best performers of last year; Bellamy is being ushered to the door and Adebayor, who had a pretty good season, seems destined to be replaced with another target man (Balotelli, Djeko etc).

And on top of that theyre slowly replacing the players who have a passion for the club (SWP, Bellamy, Dunne, Ireland, Richards) with Mercenarys demanding £200k per week.

I really cant see how signing Robinho Mark 2, Toure and Milner is going to take them from 6th place to competing with United and Chelsea, no way.

LOLVILLA
That post is typical of a normal day on VT. I can assure you VTers are far worst to their own team and fellow posters, it is nothing personal with City (well, I do not hold a grudge with City over Barry or Milner). I have just seen Joe Mercer's name mentioned, a great manager for both of our great clubs. :)

That being said, we will still win tomorrow - 4-2 Villa.

Oh I see. So the Sunderland result was your fault ;-) I think we'll hit 3 or more.

Jordan Bowery set to start for Villa.

Last goal in 2012.
