One way of looking at it, another is to say we never give young players a chance so why would any good youngsters come to us in the future. At least get them loaned out like Chelsea and the rags do.

Strong team, and the responsibility is on the starting eleven to get the job done. There can be no looking to the bench for Nasri, Silva, or Toure to come on and open stubborn teams up.

Get a cushion then bring on the youngsters - not a 5-0 cushion though ffs. If we're 2-0 up bring on Lopes imo.

I still don`t believe he had a knock.IMO he was taken off to strengthen the midfield.Its just that The Beast can hold the ball up better and bring others into play when playing alone.Thats not a knock for ED as he was by far the better player on the day.However results speak for themselves and on that occasion Pelle got it correct.

Remember, we've won nothing yet, Manny has a quota to meet, and wants to make sure he gets the job done, he's still only 6 months into his tenure.
Lopes is on the bench, if we are comfortable in the 2nd half, I'm sure he'll get a run out, plus Dzeko and Negredo will want to be filling their boots if everything goes well tonight

Not expecting a 6-0l'er like everyone on Twitter seems to, I'm going for 3-0 with Negredo bossing it. Can see them having a go for half an hour but we never don't score and I just can't see them coping too well after the first goes in.

I think it's important to keep in mind that MP is new to the club. So he's still evaluating the senior players as well as the youth players. We need to give him time to fully evaluate all the players. He's got a track record of playing young players so it's a little early to fret and Lopes is very young. No need to rush him.
