Manchester City v Chelsea in Ohio - Post Match Thread

Ditto. Think Sterling criminally underappreciated and underrated for what he did for City. We wont see many score more goals for us than he did.

Odd one, as even at his peak for us, he didn't really get the love from us fans as many who did a lot less do/did.

City legend for me.
He made a great contribution to our success and I remember him fondly but there is an element of "what if" if he could have improved his finishing and one on ones just a little bit. I think we would have won the CL a few years before we did. However if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle so I will focus on the success he made a massive contribution to.

Bobb has been class and is ready to start games. His intelligence and movement and skill make him so hard to defend.

JWE was superb, but didn't have the best tour otherwise.

McAtee needs to get on the ball more. Two assists tonight, but would like to see him more involved. He will benefit from time with the squad and hopefully grow into it as.the season progresses.

Most of the other young players still look a year or so off getting much time. O'Reilly seems to be well liked, but needs to get consistency in his game and not try to hard to impress. Easier said than done on a pre-season tour where you want to impress! I'm sure.in a competitive game most of the lads do a job for the team.

So many to come back in, the future is bright and whether they make it with us or not some of them will be having excellent careers.
Oscar starts in the community shield as will Mcatee. Excited to see how they play in this game

Phillips was great, crisp passing and some quality interceptions. It shows there is a player ready to come out. If he goes then so be it, but glimpses of class.
Very average for an international he was out shone by the kids
He kept knocking the ball long, obviously under instruction, unfortunately of the 17 attempts 8 were unsuccessful going out of play loosing procession 12 times He was playing out of position and annoying that he took a place in the team that the likes of Doyle could have had

Looks like Doyle is off to Norwich for £20m - no point in risking injury.

He lost the ball on two occasions. One was after a challenge, one was a mistake. The rest of the time he was making countless passes, including quite a few of those long range passes like we saw in the other game as well.
He lost procession 12 times he attempted 17 long ball with 8 being successful

Blimey! Sorry I missed it; sounds like Phillips is turning into the new Steven Gerard :-)
