Back to the task of dealing with Kiev. Its going to be tricky no doubt, but it can just about be done. Got to go attacking here, leaves us vunerable at the back but no point in shutting up shop and playing for a 0-0.

Job done :) (still no news about Zabaleta, so didn't include him)

This is perfect starting 11. Yeah I know they haven't got many games together, but we got nothing to lose really, our regular line up won't score 2 goals, if we barely managed 1 against Reading and it was a header

Its perfect for Kiev, they will have space and counters to run...

I would start with 11 against Reading, only took Barry and Zabaleta for SWP and Vieira.

.......................................... Hart
......Micah ............. Kompany ......... Lescott....... Kolarov

..............................De Jong ........... Barry
........... Zaba...................................................... Yaya
...........................................Silva
...........................................Tevez

And then break em twice, in the 2nd Half Dzeko for Tevez, Balotelli for Silva.

De Jong playing will be absolutely vital in our bid to keep a clean sheet in this game as Mancini has stated. Hopefully, we can take it from there and score at least 3 goals to qualify, looks a daunting task but it's not impossible so i'm hopeful.

---------------Hart--------------

Zabba---Komp------Boateng---Kola

SWP----NDJ-------Barry-----Balo

-------Silva------Dzeko---------

I wouldn't play all our cards at once, it's only a 2 goal defecit, it's not as hard a task as everyone thinks. We have enourmous attacking quality, we could be 2 goals up inside half hour if we go for it. I think we save one attacker incase we are struggling to break them down and are running out of time. For me, I would go...

-----------------Hart-----------------
Richards---Kompany--Lescott---Kolarov (Flying full backs for crosses and extra support)
---------------De Jong---------------
--------Yaya------------Barry-------- (Yaya and Barry can both drop as cover if the full backs are high up the field)
---Silva--------Dzeko-------Tevez---

If we have the lead and need to hold on then bring off Tevez (although he won't like it) for bring on Vieira and retain the ball in midfield and try catch them out by putting balls over the top for Dzeko. If we need more goals bring on Balotelli for Barry. I think the danger in playing Dzeko, Tevez, Balotelli and Silva is if we're winning and take one of them off then cock up the lead we could be in hot water. My main fear is that if we went 3-0 up that Balotelli wouldn't bust a gut trying to defend for the remainder of the game. I know he's a talent and for a guy his age the world of football is there for his taking, I just don't think he's the type of player you need when you're holding a lead in this stage of a competition. But hey, this is just my opinion, I'm not paid to manage! But this game is there for us to grab by the horns and tackle it into the quarters! COME ON CITY!

I'm finding it really hard to see us win with more then 2-0 after our game against Reading (yeah, we played well, but we didn't scored more then one goal, and that was a header.)

Wounder if Mancini wants to qualify or if he just wants to put Europa League behind him and focus on figthing for top 4 in Premier Leauge and on the FA Cup semi against stretford scums.

Dzeko and Balotelli to start. Dzeko to score together with Yaya Tourè, I hope.

But it feels like it going to end up as a 0-0. :(
