there is no point to risk the main players for this but as we know MP he will play 3-4 of them

maybe aguero will get the second half as he need to build his fitness ...a win will be nice 2-0 win

what kind of team are west ham going to put out, bearing in mind they know the tie is lost ?
They have no game at weekend which may influence the decision to field a stronger team but they have chelsea to play in a weeks time.

Thats a great selection, maybe Navas rested though.

Pellegrini has been alternating our fist teamers for the last few weeks. I expect to see Fernandinho to play for a large part of this game and maybe him and Yaya play 45 mins each half on Saturday. If Rodwell is fit then he could partner Fernandinho, and Jovetic to play some part alternating with Aguero. Looks like Micah could be missing again which is a problem, maybe Milner at right back ? Nastasic and Lescott or DeMichelis, I can see Kompany being rested.

We have another cup (FA) game on Saturday, then a league game against an attacking Spurs side on Wednesday before a bit of a break until the Monday night game with Chelsea. I can see us playing a full strength side against Chelsea, and a strong midfield against Spurs, so the cup games will see eight changes or so for each game so players can be rested.

Hart
Zabaleta
DeMichelis
Nastasic
Clichy
Milner
Fernandinho
Rodwell
Jovetic
Aguero
Negredo

then depending how the players are for fitness, Aguero coming off, Jovetic going up front and either Lopes or Navas on. Then Jovetic off and maybe Huws on to see out the game.

what about emyr huws? he should really get a chance to start. He's a promising young player!

Doug's report said he didn't see Huws, I guess Rodwell's return pushes Huws one down the pecking order again.

Lopes is there in London, though, and Tweeted something before looking very happy. Lopes and Boyata may be the only 'youths' (hard to call Dedryck that anymore) involved.

I would hope many important players gets a rest in this match and also the Watford game, but Pellegrini wont do it, so I expect pretty strong teams in both cup games.

I want to see a strong team against Watford. Get the game won, and ease off and use the subs. Worst possible outcome is a long slog, and even the risk of a difficult replay
