Manchester City vs. AC Milan Post-Match Discussion Thread

Garcia is fine as a CB next to Kompany or Nastasic and Lescott is fine next to Kompany. But playing them together when deploying a high line is a recipe for disaster. They both played 90 mins today so I'm thinking Boyata may start next to Vinny tomorrow, which I'm not sure how I feel about.

Think we need a CB. Someone like Miranda from Atletico would be better than Pepe imo.

Dzeko has bin superb but can't wait to see aguero leading the line with jovetic Silva, and navas assisting him, along with dino and yahya ofcourse

They let us score three goal. Out of sympathy.

Haha, could have been 8-0 by the time you got your first.

Funny what a little width and pace can do. Been saying it for two years, haven't we? ;)

Grini looks like he knows what he is doing in comparison.
We certainly have fella. I nearly fell off the settee with excitement when navas did the fullback and put that cross in for the first goal. I rang my dad up and shouted "two years we've been waiting for that!!!!!"

I think we are going to win the league and make a big mark in Europe this year.

Hi mate, a joy to behold. ;-)
Not half rammy. Not half mate.

There was a friendly just before the 11-12 season where we played unbelievably well. Was it inter or someone. I felt then that we were going to win the league.

To quote Pink Floyd "now I've got that feeling once again". In spades.

I think Komps will partner Lescott tomorrow, seemed the second half was designed to allow the players who did the ninety minutes to virually walk through the game in the second half.

Rag Cafe lot going on about AC missing half their team. And us letting 3 in.

Not one of them picked up on us missing all of our 1st choice defence. ;-)

With kompany and clichy in there that starting eleven looks exceptional. And that's without aguero and negredo!

[quote="A very good player? Based on what? I've yet to see him be very good at CM let alone CD. He was poor against Southampton and QPR. Was down right abismal today. If he was a very good player it wouldn't matter who was next to him he's be very good. It's not just that he's slow. He lacks confidence, particularly on the ball. Looks like he's got a granade on his foot and is deperate to get it away. Lacks awarness of what's going on. So combine that with a total lack of pace and it's a disater. If he had pace he could make up for his lack of awareness, or if he had awareness he could make up for his lack of pace. But if you have none of the above it just doesn't work.[/quote]
I'm pleased that you brought up some of Garcia's last season's performances to back up your point. Being played out of position in a friendly hardly warrants criticism.
To be honest I'm still undecided on him but I'm afraid that unless he pulls his finger out then he's toast as he doesn't really offer us anything that Barry can't do better.
