if we play Demichelis in this game, City will be expose everytime. Saints attackers get through City defensive lines several times, imagine this with Liverpool. they have speed demons everywhere. playing high defensive lines with them, is like a suicide. hope Pelle will get his tactics right for this game.
It would be harsh to drop demichelis.

A draw at Liverpool would be a good result only if we then can win all our other games including Everton away

We did not play that well v Southampton yesterday.

I think we should not start with Nasri v Liverpool. Nasri and Silva together not always a good option against better and fast attacking opposition. Thus start with Silva only and either have Navas in place of Nasri or Milner in place of Nasri.

I would play Aguero if fit and have Jovetic to add some pace.

Still worried about Demichellis V Sturridge or Suarez

Team

Hart

  • Zabaleta Kompany Demichelis Clichy

    Navas Fernandinho Toure Silva

Jovetic (Aguero or Negredo or Dzeko)

I like that side, the inclusion of Jovetic excites me as it gives Liverpool something different to think about. They will be expecting us to play one up front. If we play Dzeko up front on his own it will play into their hands IMO. I think we should play two but with Jovetic floating around and everyone working their behinds off when we don't have the ball. I would also possibly play Milner instead of Navas although it's a tough one to call.

Milner fern yaya silva

Jovetic

Dzeko

jovetic/silva interchangeable.

This is the side we should play.

It's all about our defence against Liverpool. End of, really.

The team pretty much picks itself, certainly in all aspects that matter. We might play Kolarov instead of Clichy (i think we will play Clichy), and we might start Milner instead of Navas (i think we will start Navas). But none of that matters much.

We know we will play 4-5-1 with Silva in the middle behind the lone striker who will be Aguero. We know Hart, Zabaletta, Kompany, MDM, Fern, Yaya, Nasri, Silva, Aguero will start. We know we will get chances and very likely score against their average defence.

We know we will play our usual high line and Sterling, Sturridge and Suarez trying to get in behind. The only question in my mind is how will Kompany and MDM cope? The result is decided right there, for me.

we win the title as long as we don't lose on april 13. we win that day and we win the title, draw and we're still in the drivers seat in a big way. win though and it's all over and we should we walking to the crown with 2 games to go at least

Unfortunately this game won't be about the football.
I hope we can ignore the furroura around what can't be mentioned and rise above. just like the other year and their 50th.
impeccable fan behavior then impeccable players performance and the championship is ours.
And pray for a stronge referee or it'll be a scouse love in.
Play up City.

Liverpool 1-2 City.

We've improved a lot under Brendan, but this is a step too far for our side. I will be happy with a good account of ourselves like in the away fixture.

Of course, that doesn't mean we can't win. We play well, and at the top of our game like at Arsenal, I can see us winning 3-1.

So, what you are saying is that you haven't got a clue.

Basically yeah...

Only a fool would confidently predict the outcome of such a game

I hope City don't make Ferguson's mistake of 2 seasons ago, when he came to City needing a point to protect their advantage and they were so defensive they couldn't get out of their half, and ended up posing 1-0.
