Manchester City vs Liverpool pre-match thread

The only thing that will cost us a result in this game is our mentality, only a bottle job or players not turning up will lose us the game in my opinion.

Liverpool have great momentum at the moment but we are in good form ourselves, we have a better and more balanced XI overall and what is required now is the players mentality being absolutely die-hard focussed on winning that title so we just better hope they all turn up and perform to their capabilities.

Lawro and merson predicting draws.

Shaking like a shooting dog early in the week.. calm and rational until this evening and now nerves creeping in!

Can't they just play it now and get it over with?!

I was nervous at the start of the week but I am now coming to terms that this game has become an overhyped cup final for Liverpool that we don't actually need to win as a draw would suit us perfectly.

There is far too much emphasis on this game being a title decider if you ask me, it's only a title decider for Liverpool because if they lose or draw it's our of their hands, but even then us or Chelsea could still drop points.

I feel confident we can get a draw.

I am of the mind set that a draw would be great but hate myself for thinking like that as I sulk like Fuck if we get anything less than a win normally.

Am I the only one that thinks Lescott should play this one
I see a nightmare in our penalty area waitin to happen
Jojo can make DS look frail, after all , they do have the concentration camp victim in their back 4

The same mate. Liverpool are slightly shorter odds to win than us but they're not odds on.

Team for Sunday, should we start with Aguero?

No.He hasn't played for weeks and was off the pace last time he did.If he starts i can see him pulling up on the touchline again after 20-30 minutes.Dzeko has started scoring again and deserves to start,Aguero isn't a bad option to have on the bench though eh?

If you start with Aguero I predict a Sakho/Flanagan hard challenge in the first 5 minutes. Ref's never going to send them off in a Sky TV match in the first 5 and Aguero's public announcement he fears getting injured from the world cup provides the perfect opportunity to scare the shit out of him.

I reckon Dzeko will start with Aguero coming in on 60.

Yeah I'd agree. Although I'd leave Navas on the bench too and play Milner Silva Nasri behind Dzeko.

I'm sure he's terrified
