Play Garcia and push Fernandinho onto Gerrard. Everything is running through him, so cut off that supply and let Silva carve them open.

So long as we avoid defeat the title will still be in our hands.

Saying that, it will be hard not to lose with Liverpool getting 5 penalties

...in the first half

Surely the key to stopping Liverpool is Garcia playing allowing toure to occupy Gerrard? Gerrard dictates Liverpool's passing and starts their attacks. Whatever happens we need to start quick and a ref who is wise to suarez's penalty antics. Still in our hands. Can't afford to lose though.

I can see a case for one of those options but not both. Garcia's biggest weakness is lack of pace. Yaya doesn't have the mobility to perform that sort of role.

Same team and tactics as the United game for me.

Red cards or pens is the best bet for any gamblers out there for next week.

If you've ever wondered why the rags hate scousers so much you'll get a taste this week.

What if we all the team plays with their arms tied up behind their backs ? not sure what we can do with the dangling foot though.

Hart
Zabs Kompany Demichelis Clichy
Fernandinho Garcia
Yaya Silva Nasri
Aguero

My team for next week, Clichy has to play to deal with Sterling going forward and we can nullify most of their wing play with Garcia and Fernandinho holding to double up on the flanks. Their biggest threat going forward is mainly when/if we get caught on the break with that triangle of Sturridge, Suarez and Sterling. Apart from that they are pretty average and rely on the influence of Gerrard to get things moving. Gerrard isn't quick enough to deal with Silva and Nasri interchanging, it will take a lot of discipline for them to deal with that if we keep the ball well. Yaya obviously has the power and can change the game on his own, most of our big game players turn up when it matters. Aguero will give them a nightmare if he's back fit enough which we have to hope he is. Otherwise I'd certainly be leaning on Dzeko and his experience or Jovetic in there but it might be too big a game for him.

They will come out like they always do against us, they will press high up the pitch and try to stifle any attempt by us to control the game. Silva certainly won't get the space he has got in the last few matches. We struggled against Arsenal when we were pressed and starved of space in midfield so Pellegrini has to consider an extra number in there just to deal with it. We have defended well recently and that extra bit of protection from Garcia will keep us sound at the back. We don't need to necessarily go for broke here but we need to balance the entire team around not conceding but still able to do just enough to get something when it comes.

I am going for a tricky 2-1 win or something like a 2-2 but anything could happen, I don't think they are the team they think they are. They haven't played anyone who has given them a game just yet and we turned them over at our place. They were average against West Ham today and it took 2 penalties to get them the win. They dominated after but before that West Ham were pretty comfortable and the longer the game goes I can only imagine we'd be most likely to get the win.
