I can't see us winning this one and I'm one of the most optimistic blues out there. A draw will be a good result its the most we can realistically hope for in my opinion. We beat them narrowly at our place and that was without Sturridge and obviously their home crowd who this time will be baying for Manc blood. Let's get this game out of the way and then we can win the rest, they will slip up in one of the rest of their games for sure.

We were without Aguero and Lescott (4th choice) was playing.

All i'm hearing in the media is Liverpool this and Liverpool that. A bit of positivity is needed, when we play to our best we are the best team in the league. Garcia must start, we must match their tempo and our quality will win over.

Well one things for sure, we don't have to win at Anfield but we can't afford to lose. With Chelsea having to go there i thin a draw would be enough to give us a clear advantage. to be honest i think the games where the dippers might slip up are the ones we would least expect. the nerves will get to them the closer it gets to the end of the season. Time will tell if they are strong enough to pull through it but if they do then they deserve all the plaudits.

Still think we will do them next Sunday though, i just have a feeling that we will turn up big time.

Hart
Zaba. Vinnie. Demi. Kolorov
Garcia. Fern
Silva. Yaya. Jojo
Dzeko

Can see nasri starting for jovetic though. Don't want aguero to start but hopefully he can come on second half with about 30 mins to go. Garcia to start to do his defensive job. Silva will obviously do what he does best. Hopefully yaya performs!

2-0 city, Jojo and dzeko

I would desperately take a point now.

We have got to do what Mourinho did to us to them, that's not to say play absolute counter attacking pragmatic football but I think we have to make sure we plug all the gaps in midfield, be first to every ball, press like mad etc..

Liverpool have been notorious this season for scoring a ridiculous amount of goals in the first half so we have to aware of that, but I would like to see us come out of the blocks like we did against United and make them feel nervous and when when we lose the ball we recover it as quickly as possible.

For me the key will be going three in midfield and having Garcia sit as I just think if we go with the two in Fernandinho and Yaya will could get picked off big time like Southampton did to us yesterday in the first half, and let's not forget that was at our ground as well.

I think and hope we see Garcia, Fernandinho and Yaya in midfield and the three up front being Silva, Nasri and Sergio.

Sergio has to start in my opinion, he will make their defence drop back a bit because of his pace, with Dzeko or Negredo it's easier for the CB's to push up and close the space because they know they are not quick enough to run behind.

Hope there are no players reading our posts at present, im also guilty of feeling a bit pessimistic about our chances next week just wish I knew which Man City will turn up . I think its the fact that although we have been winning ,in some games we appear to not reach top gear . lethargic and relying on Silva to do that little bit of genius to get us going. but sod it I will now post nothing negative preferring to hope that the spirit of 2012 will be with us this time Time for our big game players to step forward and make "ISTORY" COME ON BLUES YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE

That Liverpool attacking plan in full.

1. Twat it downfield
2. Suarez uses body to "roll" (aka foul) defender on halfway.
3. Suarez scampers after it.
4. Suarez cuts sharply back inside only covering defender
5a. Ball bobbles up and hits defender's hand. Penalty
5b. Suarez falls over. Penalty
5c. Ball ricochets off defender back into Suarez's path
6. Goal
7. And, er, that's it

Trouble is, it comes up trumps time after time after time

We need to be on our absolute best if we are to take anything from this match. The ref will do everything in his power to let the dippers win.

Unfortunately West Ham only have 1 and 7 in their attacking plan.
