I know there are 96 people in the sky who will always be supporting this team,’ said Rodgers. ‘We want to do this for the great support and football family of Liverpool and if we are to achieve anything this year the 96 in the sky will always be in our thoughts, and their families.’

Hopefully it turns out like that Munich anniversary game, where we were 'supposed' to lose but didn't.
Pity for Rodgers it's the 22 on the pitch who decide the game and ours are better.

This sort of nonsense is the reason I'd rather the Chavs won the title,we are all very, very aware of the sad events of that day but fuck me...... give it a bleeding rest.....

I think Liverpool will start at 100 miles per hour next week and our players will need to stand firm, keep calm and not give the ref any penalty decisions to make as they will not go in our favour.

If we can get through the first 25 minutes on level terms then hopefully we can start to dictate the game. Forwards wise I think it is too early for Kun so we will have to trust Edin to have one of his better games.

I just hope that the game is played fairly and that the officials do a decent job - it already seems that we are up against the entire media. Changing the kick-off time is a bit over the top imo.

Maybe this could work in our favour as some of their players may struggle to cope with the pressure.

SKY will be unbearable next week, no doubt they will have Redknapp, Carragher and Souness all in the pundit seats.

I like Souness but his Liverpool bias will show in this game so it looks like we will be hoping Gary Neville can big us up.

Why don't City have a proper SKY representative, it seems we are the only top club who doesn't?

Souness knows fuck all!! I remember when he sais kompany isn't good enough on the ball!! He's said a couple of daft things an all the fuckwit!

what a smug twat brenda is , he spouts his shite about deserving to beat us on the last three matches , the pressure is all on us because we have invested , hes a fcuking irish **** , and i hope we shit all over them next sunday , according to his version of events liverpool have never spent any money and their players are all young liverpool english academy players. They have two players that have come through their academy , a 36 year old has been , who plays midfield from a sweeper position , and a kid who wouldnt get near the team if enrique was fit , and how many penalties do these bastards get every week , come on city fcuk them up.

This **** has probably spent nearly as much on cold sore cream.

Great post. The players need to be focused and totally switched on from the off. It will be a frenzy.

I don't want to say that winning against Liverpool will decide the title, because after Sunday we've still got to face two teams fighting for Premier League survival (Crystal Palace, Sunderland) and we've still got to go to Goodison, but it would mean that any potentially required safety net will be twice the size it currently is.

With the whole 96 thing I can see the Liverpool players being really amped, especially the actual scousers in the team. I expect Flannagan to go flying in to an early tackle and almost break someone's leg.
