Has this actually sold out yet?

No. It had done, but now suddenly there are seats available in the Family Stand (unusual) and a few at the back of 303 and 307.

I wonder what the club's line of thinking will be when the last few sell out. Is it "Well, we sold out in the end, so prices are a success" or "We just about sold out for our first home game of the season, one of the biggest of the season, so maybe we need to review pricing".

This was the point I was trying to make in the 'priced out' thread yesterday

The club have no reason to review the price structure while the games are selling out

I rarely question Mr Pellegrini's judgement but why is he not playing Mangala? Yes he was in the French squad for the WC but he didn't play so he is not tired. Is he not fit? The reason given 'just started working with the team' is a bit lame really because he has been with us for a while now and others have come straight in when they have been transferred. Just wondering, not criticising, just wondering.

I can only think that maybe pre season first involves fitness training and not tactical training?

Maybe he's fit but not up to speed for match play?

It's a big game, why throw him in at the deep end before he has had time to bed in with the squad?

Thank you gentlemen, I understand both your reasons and I guess I agree but when will he be up to speed and when will he have the tactical training? Surely that comes with 'match practice'? Just my random thoughts. As I have always said, I have faith in Mr Pellegrini, just pondering that's all.

First game was a tough away fixture against a new look and optimistic Newcastle and second game tough home fixture against last season's title rivals are not the games to put in a new young centre half.

We know we can rely on Komps and Demi so for these first two I think we should stick with them.

Stoke at home next will be the ideal debut for the lad.
