what's the story with these top women players?

are they full time pros?

No, they are full time footballers.

what do they get paid? £1000 a week? or less or more?

Not sure, but if they are anything like their tennis equivalents, they will be demanding pay parity before long.

I played north west counties football for most of my playing days and I got about £20 per win, if I was lucky. I've yet to see a woman who could hack it at that level, so I sincerely hope they're not on a grand-a-week. Is it too late for a sex change ?

Javi is getting his legs shaved and a pair of falsies done as we speak.

Good to see City looking to add competition and push the women's game forward. It says to me, every person, whether disabled, male, or female; whether a support or someone with aspirations can be part of it. You are City and City is you.

Result.

I notice from the photo gallery on the MEN website, that she can kick with both feet. Something Antonio Valencia might want to look at. She may look nice, but just wait til she makes a mistake. There'll be some pompous twit on here slagging her off. It happened to kolarov, and he's fookin gorgeous !

Valencia is a girl too. Looks like Grace Jones.
He also looks like he has plastic hair. Like a cheap action man.

Not sure why it is but whenever there's a thread on women's football but the fans of Carry On films or Jim Davidson seem to make an appearance. To be honest I have no interest in women's football but I welcome City taking it seriously and good luck to any women that can make a living out of playing football. Not sure about the decision to appoint Rodney Marsh as first team scout however.

Its almost the most ridiculous thing in sport that female tennis players earn as much as the men

Re: Manchester City Ladies - Toni Duggan {merged}

Women's tennis in terms of quality is no where near the men's game but funnily enough it's the women who actually attract much of the sponsorship and media attention. Many of the male players - May have bags of ability but many have had a personality by pass . The power in the men's game has also impacted it as a spectacle - often creating in part a serving competition.

Re: Manchester City Ladies - Toni Duggan {merged}

I hope women's football trophies don't count towards the 5 in 5 years we've been promised by the club.
