I remember 80's and early 90's Manchester was a grim place, the 96 bomb was in hindsight the best thing at ever happened to it. A much nicer place now, Although many more scrotes knocking about these days

You would not recognise this as being Manchester would you? Our city planners have a lot to answer for. The statue of Cromwell that can be seen still stands at its new location in Wythenshawe Park.

This is that junction now, Deansgate/Victoria Bridge near cathedral.

The first school I went to is in the background of the photo of the Mancunian Way. We could play football on the playground on the roof of the building. If the ball went over the wall, some unlucky bugger had to go down and bring it back up via the stairs.
