Manchester is red.

That reminds me of FA Cup semi-final day. Convoy of City leaving Manchester, no sight of any Utd until South of Birmingham

I definitely noticed that.

In 1989 i was living for short time in Essex. On the day of the 5-1 I turned up at Euston to take the train to civilization to witness a sea of red all of them from the Home Counties. There were a few Blues as well but the train was packed full of the lowlife. And this before they started winning things so i dread to think what it is like now. With it being the eighties i hadn't bothered with getting a ticket beforehand so started wandering up and down the train looking for a spare. The cockneys had plenty to hand so after a bit of haggling I got one in the North Stand for a tenner. The wankers were full of themselves which made the result even more satisfying. As you will remember there was a load of trouble in the North Stand due them getting tickets in our end. Normally I would not enjoy a 4hr journey back with a terrible hangover but thanks to being surrounded by the wankers again and hearing them whingeing all the way back whilst surrounding myself with every Sunday newspaper on this occasion it was very enjoyable.

good work Bob.

meanwhile back in Manchester, a mate of mine who holds a season ticket at the the swamp will be sat in the pub watching 'cos he can't be arsed going.

It means he fears defeat.

He's just a dick.
Couple of seasons ago he used to bakg on about empty seats at ours until i pointed out to him that he can't really take the piss cos he never goes to united.
Following season he got an all singing ST. He's been to 3 games since, one being the 6-1 where he left at half time.

But it was only 1-0 at half-time?

Anyone with half a brain knows that at least HALF of matchgoers at Old Trashford aren't from Manchester ... planes and boats and trains are how most of the rag garbage get here !

If Manchester is red , then i'm Englebert Humperdinck !

Yes , i suspect that this 'big game' of theirs against Liverpool has drawn about HALF of the worldwide tv audience that the last couple of City/United games have !

My best memory was as our coach was approaching Wembley (Semi Final VICTORY v rags) we spotted 3 locals waiting for a BUS before the match!! Boy did they get some verbals thrown @ them. Didn't look like they even understood English lol

-- Sun Jan 13, 2013 9:22 pm --
