Manchester is red.

te is a bit arid at one level if we are squabbling over post codes..

I have a feeling that there are some dyed in the wool reds from manchester and from rag families..
I have no beef with them....except

I have lived and worked in Manch most of my adult life (more tha 25 years) and arrived here without a team, as such (having followed rugby as a south wales kid the transported to n yorkshire)

What hit me , as a teacher new to Manch in Denton , was the loyalty of the City fans at our school.despite Ciy's mediorcre form.. and contining loyalty when things went from bad to worse in the 90's. The repulsive arrogance of the rags both in our school and in manchester meant it could only have been City for me

The glory hunters from down south and abroad are just a hilarious joke.. the manc reds are far more repulsive..
I can have banter with fans of nearly all clubs .. but the rags just don't seem to get it.. so much of their ego is invested .. all other principles are forgotten... hence the saddo 'mibs' outside Shrek's mansion, threatening him with death if he he joined City....

Thieir smugness, arrogance and sense of entitlement know no bounds..

But I sense that they are smelling a whiff of long term disaster in the air of late, despite MUTV/SKY's best attempts to make them feel better.....

It is now. The euston train has just arrived at Piccadilly and the place is swarming and I mean proper swarming with plastic rags. I'm sat here waiting to go to arsenal pissing my sides, I've been singing "maybe it's because I'm a landaner" they just glare at me.

Manchester red? Don't make me fucking piss.

I was in Piccadilly last Saturday morning and the place was swarming with City fans coming into Manchester, by your reckoning these blues mustn't have come from Manchester and then Manchester must have no City fans in it?

Piss poor logic to suggest Manchester lacks United fans just because you see match going United fans coming off trains (from Euston or wherever, doesn't matter). A lot of local United fans find the tourists as funny as you do, and simply cannot be arsed with it anymore. Your club will be on the same boat if you keep on going.

There's already been complaints on here by other posters about tourists and out of town fans, and it's not even started!

nothing ever on that scale, and its not just the train station in piccadilly manchester, the LONDON pubs yesterday were swarming with plastics, they were all there with their scarves inc the norwich ones. manchester united are not a manchester club, their fans are not manchester people. they have simply attatched themselves to our great city in order to cash in on manchester's world renown as a major world city. i suppose we should be honoured. they say immitation is the best form of flatterey.
cheers.

You made a wise choice Sir!
Re the last line....most of the rags i come across have there head firmly buried in the sand and are convinced that we are on the brink of an impending disaster and the HRH SM will be off soon.

Essex Rag just on the radio, sounded like Del Boy, saying he is part of convoy 'of thousands' going up to watch united today!

It really is amazing the way some people in this tiny country of ours squabble about postcodes. You can drive from Glasgow to London in six hours. If someone gets a train to the match from London, Stoke, Stockport or Aberdeen, then fair fucks to them. They might be people who moved for work, or their old fella comes from here. Put it this way, they are better than the knobhead armchairs mouthing off in the pub. Anyone reading this, don't be put off visiting our great city from snidey threads like this. Bring your friends and spend lots of money.

I live and work in Bury

I must know , work with and live near at least a 100 or so so called United fans and of them only 2 actually go to games!!!!!

Live in Sydney, have all my life, went to 1 city match in '88 (against palace) with my ol man. Been hooked ever since. I don't know another blue outside my family.

used to get VHS tapes sent over every month and would watch em over and over. Be it getting excited about the prospect of watching a home loss to port vale, or f&*king York, it didn't matter (too much)

But hell, i, like you guys, get smug and giggle at all the rag muppets over here who call for shriek to go, or bagged out hughes without knowing he was a rag.. It aint that they never get to a game, as thats a bit hard to do, its just that they have no knowledge, passion or clue!

Was up this morn at 3am on a monday morn to watch my beloved blues, same as every week, wouldn't have it any other way. If one day i get back, call me plastic i dun give a toss, a true fan puts the yards in one way or another

Plastic or not aint where you come from, its how you support the team.
