To be fair it's easy to forget about the money and how great the owners when we see the dross on the pitch.
If the kneekerk comment was aimed at me, I'm anything but knee-jerk!

I dont think that this is only business for Mansour, I think that
he has actually become a cityfan !

Cheers Sheih

Much Love

and if your ever in Denton look me up for a night out on me

only one man is responsible for us getting us to our first semi in the FA cup for 30 years...............

yes you've guessed it

Jo?

-- Thu Mar 24, 2011 9:30 pm --

Still remember watching ssn all night on transfer deadline day when we bought robhino. almost creamed myself. Feels like a long time ago now, stated his intentions and not once has he wavered. FA cup this year and he becomes a legend. No doubt!

I think the odd post like this is a perfect tonic for those fans (maybe all of us to a degree) that seem to have quickly forgot the shit we were in just a few seasons ago. That's not a dig by the way, just an observation on how things have monumentally turned around for us. I mean, when we now fork out 20 to 30 million quid for a player I don't even bat an eyelid as it has (rightly or wrongly) come to be perceived as the norm. The thing is this isn't the norm, this is fantasy football and the fans of practically any team in the world would fucking die to be in such a fortunate position as we find ourselves.

That's not to say we can't have a moan when the team doesn't play well or point out an individual's shit performance in any given game. Just that the collective mass mourning and manic depressive, over the top perception that the sky's falling in every time something doesn't go our way is a tad dramatic and smacks of going on hunger strike because the waiter in the 3 Star Michelin restaurant you've just dined in didn't fill your wine glass quick enough.

Great post, and credit to the OP for what seems like the only positive post in recent memory that isn't subsequently pilloried by the champ manager wannabes.

Respect again.

Oh, and thanks Mr Mansour! I'm with the posters who suggest a song for him.

Even if we win nothing this season - he's still more than proved his commitment to our club.

He is such a busy man, however he never misses a match on TV and the banner went down very well with him. Can't we take it to Wembley.

He is a generous guy........he will have put a Billion soon into City........................and how much he is putting into the re-generation is anyones guess.............

a truly remarkable and generous person........
