I mean, when we now fork out 20 to 30 million quid for a player I don't even bat an eyelid as it has (rightly or wrongly) come to be perceived as the norm. The thing is this isn't the norm, this is fantasy football and the fans of practically any team in the world would fucking die to be in such a fortunate position as we find ourselves.
That's not to say we can't have a moan when the team doesn't play well or point out an individual's shit performance in any given game. Just that the collective mass mourning and manic depressive, over the top perception that the sky's falling in every time something doesn't go our way is a tad dramatic and smacks of going on hunger strike because the waiter in the 3 Star Michelin restaurant you've just dined in didn't fill your wine glass quick enough.
