Pep Guardiola on @ManUtd: "It is a team that is built to run. When they can run, they are one of the best teams, not just in England, because of the pace they have with James, with Greenwood, Martial, Rashford and Lingard."

"I saw their line-up before Wolves and they make a lot of changes so I guess they will be focused. We have to go to try and take a good result to the second leg with our people, our fans to reach three years in a row in the final."

"I have the feeling they are going to run, one or two or three or as many times as possible and we have to reduce the mistakes in the build-up, be prepared for that," he said. But we have to do our game..."

"I'm not going to prepare to not let them run - we have to score a goal, play our game and try to get a good result. I would like to play in Old Trafford most of the park except the first minutes we concede three or four times they could run..."

"I like a lot the game we played, the chances we create in many situations so I would like to play quite similar but we don’t have much time. We have two days and a half to train and prepare what we want to do after we have a bit of a break, five days."

Rags midfield is utter shite, think I read somewhere that Maguire is an injury doubt as well. Let's try and kill the tie in the 1st leg and defend properly this time. No Bravo and Stones please Pep.

So he is aware that Ole has rotated in their last game against Wolves with an eye on the derby and would be playing his strongest XI for this ... no excuses for messing about with our line up then, strongest XI please Pep and yes that starts with Ederson in goal ...

Their midfield was utter shite at the start of December as well when they came around ... that wasn’t what caused us problems.

If I remember you made exactly the same arguments about Willy playing in finals and Bravo in 2018. The managers were proved right then too, almost like our recent managers know what they are doing.
The bolded is a two sided statement. You've made the first part. Can you kindly complete the 2nd?

:)

Would play three at the back Walker , Dinho , Garcia , Kyle has to be in the back three to counteract their pace on the break , and please no Bravo , would go with

Ederson

Walker
Dinho
Garcia

Bernardo
KDB
Foden
Zinchenko

Mahrez
Jesus
Sterling

Need to give the Rags a little reminder of the gulf in class , and make the return leg a formality , they wont need their 3,000 allocation then.
This is perhaps the poorest and most unlikely lineup. I'll be flabbergasted if this 11 was named.
1I can bet my mortgage that Pep will never name an 11 without Rodri or Gundogan.

I know there is a subset of our fanbase who don't rate both. But they are crucial to everything we do.

So your 11 will never work.

In my humble opt :)
