A huge game and not much time to prepare. Losing De Bruyne is a huge blow as he was becoming so dominant again. They will play on the counter so much like in our games against Spurs we have to keep the ball well and not make errors in our passing. We have given the ball away a lot in the past two games and that has led to several chances on goal. Stamp out the errors and we should win the game.

We have given the ball away a lot in the last two games against Spurs, because Pochettino knows how to pressure us in dangerous areas (in our own half), I'm not sure the scum midfield and their manager are capable of doing the same to us though, which gives me hope we will perform better on Wednesday night and control the game more to our liking.

Otamendi is utter garbage. One of the players along with Mahrez, I'd like shipped out this summer

ok, just my take here,
otamendi can be a little over board with fouls and losing a bit of pace, but overall is quite steady, i have no problem with him in the side. ya a few more mistakes this season but that's true for all our backs.
Mahrez needs to go, not because he is bad, he isn't, he's very good. He just does not fit in the scope of our team dynamics. He needs to be on a side where he gets first string minutes, he won't here. here his time is limited, so under the pressure he tries too hard to impress. he holds on too long and gets tackled and is forced into bad passing options and gives it away. Also instead of passing he shoots too often from poor positions and misses wildly. for him the team doesn't seem to be as high of a priority as his own attempts at accomplishments.

It has been our errors more than their pressing. Laporte with a poor touch when not really under close pressure. Stones playing a poor ball yesterday straight to them. Just need to pick the right passes and execute them properly.

We haven’t played them three times in ten days either.

At least they’d have a day less rest than us as they play today ...

Which btw brings me to their game vs Everton today ... what result is best for us in that? Them winning so they can ‘afford’ losing to us midweek before playing Chelsea in their quest for reaching the top 4? Surely them losing today would make them play harder against us if they still want to make top 4? Then there’s the old argument of winning breeds confidence etc and if they lose that’d put a dent in their confidence ... I can’t decide which way today’s game suits us best ... a couple of red cards and suspensions would do to say Rashford and Pogba.

it suits us best to hope for the best and plan for the worst. we have to prepare for a war.
lots have been saying united may lie down, nope, not gonna happen.
first, money is too big in sports now, every player has so much to play for to try and secure their stack,
and second, real sportsman don't think like that, it's inherently important to oneself to try hard and not be embarrassed.
third, they don't tend to dwell on previous results, they are always looking forward optimistically.

Ederson
Walker Kompany Laporte zivchenko
Fernandinho
Bernad Silva
Sterling Aguero Sane

Rags defence is wank so exploit that with sane and sterling on the wings, but these ****s will be up for it gonna be either a though and tense odd goal win or a cake walk.

Ditto. I was thinking exactly same thoughts yesterday and still can't decide which the best outcome would be. If they lose today, then if results don't go their way, then defeat against us could be fatal so they play like men possessed. But like you say, a win puts their tails up. It's a tricky one alright. Fuck it, it's them rag bastards..COME ON YOU TOFFEES! !

Please No Mahrez, and don’t put him on at Leicester either, he’s not bringing what we need and we might as well go out with 10.

Already shitting bricks, and it's only sunday. I fucking hate derbies. Even now, when we're clearly the better team. And even if there was fuck all riding on the game.
Hate derbies too, but never been so confident so close to one. It will have gone by Wednesday afternoon though no doubt.
