Not sure how much of a reaction there will be, but it’s hard to imagine they could play that badly again, unfortunately. Will be a strange atmosphere at Old Trafford though, as quite a few of their fans want them to lose the game. We should have too much for them, but anything can happen in a derby. Can see them launching balls over the top for Rashford and Martial to chase, which we looked vulnerable to against Spurs on Saturday. Son got in between our centre halves a few times.
They have to get the ball off us first, john was very rusty v spurs but if we play vinny and eric we should be fine

We play as we have done most of the season then we win. Mind the gap

Agreed, Pogba can sometimes play these long balls and our cb's need to be fully focused and ensure that Rashford and Co don't get in behind us.

Hopefully the extra day or two to prepare for this will mean that whatever combination of defenders is a bit more savvy to this than they were on Saturday.

Dilemma time blues...

I have been offered a ticket by my (rag) bro to the game at the swamp.....last time I was there we lost (when Bellamy played for us an Owen came on to score in time added)....

Should I go or stay away....I don’t know what to do for the best
Please let me buy the ticket off you. I have only been dragged to Old Trafford once in my life and that was in the mid-70's when I saw the mighty Ipswich Town beat them.

Was this in the 11 years we went without beating them? Or the 35 years we went without a win at the swamp?

eleven years without beating them ? maybe the fact we were not in the same division for most of those eleven years has something to do with it , we have caused them quite a few embarrasments when they have visited Maine Rd., over the years , i will let you look up the figures , i cant be arsed.

Which ever centre half pairing play , they need to be switched on because if we give them the chances Spurs got we could get punished , hopefully Dinho will be on top form and will nip their midfield creativity in the bud.

Mate if you are a jinx....STAY AWAY!!! :-)

Don’t be looking beyond Wednesday night, any dropped points will make the remaining 3 games meaningless. Everyone is winding the rag players up to put in a performance,we need to be seriously on our game.

It's 1 1 with 5 added minutes.
Pogbad slips on the halfway line with seconds to go, sane skins Jones crosses to Aguero who volleys it past De Gea.
To make matters worse it's marginally offside and VAR would have ruled it out.
Liverpool ask for an inquest and order thousands of candles.

The offside flag will be up as soon as Sane picks up the ball.

Good news on kdb its not his knee could be just an hamstring strain.and according to reports mendy may play.
Mendy no chance he starts in my 11, Zinchenko although not great on Saturday he starts everyday for me.
Who knows what Pep has up his sleeve but there will a couple of changes no doubt.

Have to be tight under the counter otherwise could be a long long night.

We execute our plan & be clinical then only 1 winner for me..

....................Ederson.........
..........Vinny............Laporte.......
....Walker....................Zinchenko.....
................Fernandinio.....................
...........Bernardo...Gundagun........

Muric, Stones, Mendy, Phil, Dave, Jesus, Mahrez..

Otamendi & Danilo left out..

As I said on the United thread - only one thing to say about Wednesday - remember the home derby last year.
The game where we should have been 5-0 up at half time if we had taken our chances, and no reckonised striker as we were more concerned about Liverpool in the champs league.

Liverpool midfielder James Milner: “First time in my life [supporting Manchester United]. But I won’t be watching. It’s a bit of a waste of energy, willing the ball in the other goal. I’ve no idea what I’ll do maybe go out for some food.”

Yeah right
