IMO he certainly does, he has been here long enough now to understand how much we despise the red cnuts and how much it does mean to the fans! He does tend to underplay it and i believe its an attempt to take the pressure off the players a little and not let them get embroiled into the frenzy, that we get ourselves whipped up into as fans.
I seem to recall him doing the same with the 'El Classico' game in his time at Barca....
Agreed. I think it would be highly disrespectful to Brugge to say anything but tbh, thats all this is.
Seems that whenever weve 'needed' to beat the rags under Pep, we have. With Chelsea playing Burnley at home this weekend, as early on as it is in the season, for me, we need to win this game. Hopefully not another damp squib derby please.
