Talking to a rag yesterday and as much as he was looking forward to the match when I reminded him we had hit six in our last 2 games he was worried we would do so on Sunday!
???American forecast site Five Thirty Eight ran an extensive forecast of the USA midterms last month. They arrived at the conclusion the Democrats would gain 39 seats in Congress, and the Republicans two seats in the Senate. On the night, the forecasts fluctuated wildly. At one point it was a toss up if the Democrats gained any majority at all.
By the end of the night, it looked like the numbers would be D +21 Congress seats, R + 6 (i think) Senate seats.
Now the dust has settled, and making allowances for the probable (and probably not going to change the result) recounts, the final tally looks like it will be; D + 39 Congress seats, R + 2 Senate seats.
In other words, the exact forecast Five Thirty Eight offered in the week before the election.
They also do a line in sports forecasts. They have us with an 80% chance of winning, United 7%, and 14% for the draw.

Agreed, if I supported a team playing us, I would be seriously nervous now. We now have an aura about us - a bit like how we'd feel if we were playing Barca.Mind games only have a chance of working if the person you're directing your comments towards cares in the slightest what you do.
City will impose our game onto them, they can worry about our players, not the other way around,
This is reverse psychology. He wants Pep to think two of his shittiest players will be out so we'll have a much harder game.Quite amusing seeing Jose attempting his ‘mind games’ floating that Pogba and Sanchez might not play. Does he honestly think Pep will have sleepless nights about whoever plays for them? Just another dated boring tactic from 10 years ago for him

Unlikely, big clubs with great histories such as MANCHESTER UNITED never concede six goals against Derby rivalsTalking to a rag yesterday and as much as he was looking forward to the match when I reminded him we had hit six in our last 2 games he was worried we would do so on Sunday!
There seems to be a lot of arrogance on this thread. We play the better brand of football and Utd have had an indifferent start to the season but they are an effective team and you dont go to Jve and win without being a well organised and strong team (the got a bit of luck but every team gets that at points).
Make no mistake they can hurt us and we need to be at the top of our game. The pace of Martial is a danger and as much as we deride Pogba, some of it deservedly (who will play make no mistake about it), he has the attributes to hurt us with late runs into the box and being decent in the air as well. Even int he also few games we have won handsomely we have given up chances to the likes of Burnely, Southampton and Shaktar that the likes of Martial and pogba as well as Sanchez will take advantage of.
I think its more dangerous for us if Lukaku doesn't play as well..they are more mobile without him and will try to get in behind us more.
Of course we can hurt them but PEG will see his team up to play very defensively and hope to get us with set plays and breakaways...any free kicks around the box or around the wide areas we need to be very cautious of.
