People being ridiculous about Gundogan. Not to be compared to Mendy at all on current form. Also, Merlin (who I revere) has had some decidedly ordinary games this season. I too hope it's the same team as at Turf Moor. But In Pep I Trust.

We played our proper shape, our proper midfield with the proper players on Tuesday, and it’s the best we’ve played all season.

Fed on a constant diet of American telly programmes, all my young colleagues at work are driving me mad by pronouncing moustache incorrectly, without any pretence of humour

Call me old fashioned but I would like Pep to pick the best starting 11 based on fitness, training, the opponents and tactics etc and I believe he will. If that is not the same 11 that started against Burnley, so be it

Agreed. Unbelievable that last night it was a penalty but KDB v Palace wasnt given. No consistency at all.

Keep the same lineup as last game, only changes I'd be okay with seeing are Mahrez coming in and possibly Stones but even saying that I think Otamendi played alright.

Unfortunately pretty certain David doing 90 means a certain start for Gundog.

I'd be gutted. The Gundo/Rodri pivot just doesn't work. What's the point in having 60-70% possession if you play with two number 6s?

Maybe but if Gundogan is in the team, the intensity is likely to drop , and that usually is a bad thing.
