I think his time is up regardless on where we finish as the feelers have already gone out to sounding out a couple of managers.
The chances of Mourinho have gone a bit slimmer just recently so other options are being looked at........this alone tells me the end is nigh for RM

Jeez mate, talk about throwing a hand genade into the room..... ;-)

It wouldn't be City if things were done easily would it?

Definately not!

One thing is certain, the coming weeks will see this board implode if rumours are correct re Mancini being a gonner.

Not wrong mate.

Like ive said, my only problem comes with those on both sides of the arguments that go overboard. Football has and will continue to be a game that attracts many different opinions and what is acceptable to many in terms of performances and expectations will not be to many others.

Too many on here are incabable of accepting any others opinions and it spoils many a very good thread imo.

All i will say is that regardless of what we as fans think, our board will make decisions as and when they feel it necessary, just like they did with Hughes, regardless of wha any of us thought about him.

They will do the same with Mancini, either he will stay or he will go and their is fook all any of us can do.

No we aren't.

I had an interesting conversation a while ago about Stuart Pearcewith someone who used to be very senior at the club. He came in a temporary manager when KK went and Wardle was advised by a few people not to appoint him permanently as he didn't have the right qualities. However Wardle gave in to popular demand after he took us on that great run and gave him the job permanently and look where that got us. There were plenty of other experienced managers who wanted the job at the time.

If the people that run the club don't think he's the right man then they should get rid sooner rather than later. I suspect they regret not doing that with Hughes. We've moved on from Swales, who sacked managers to take the pressure of himself. We have serious and well-intentioned owners who want the absolute best for the club.

This is correct

The owners will make decisions to benefit Manchester City Football Club, if we agree with them or not that's another matter but every decision is done with the clubs interest in mind.
We don't know all that goes on behind the scenes so we have to trust them in there decisions on what is best for our club.
One thing is for sure that they are VERY successful buisness people that know what there doing, i'm just glad that there making the decisions and not some people on this forum.

I wish yesterday never happened, gutted beyond words but listening to BM after the game he said
"Always it happens to them, never to us", referring to the last minute goals.

An off the cuff remark which is true but is he not missing something huge by saying this?? & this to me is the difference between nearly sides & successful sides. The questions he should be asking to his team are:

1- Why did we switch off AGAIN in the last few minutes
2- Scholes had acres of space to head the ball, why was Ireland the nearest man?
3- We set up their goal by needlessly squandering possession.
4- Finally-Added time is for both sides, go for the win but ensure you don't loose.

it never happens to us for one simple reason.....fergie made positive subs....we didnt...they attacked far more than us, we didnt...if we dont attack we dont score.....how many real chances did we create from open play....bridge had one near the end and bellamy wasted a good chance on the break but other than that we were very poor as an attacking force.....utd had other chances and should have been ahead...rooney missed a sitter and giggs hit his weakly straight at given....there was also numerous times balls were almost threaded through to utd's forwawrds but either tehy were just cut out or were over hit.....we didnt even do that.

Im sorry but we got what we deserved from saturday from an attacking perspective...nothing....I feels sorry for the likes of Kompany and dejong who were fantastic and praise should be given to mancini for sorting this part of our game out but he got the balance horribly wrong again in this game

So Simon you're telling me that bringing on SWP and Ireland weren't positive changes or throwing men forward with 30 seconds to go weren't positive? United had a couple of chances in the second half but they didn't create a thing in the second half until the goal while we had two or three decent chances (Bellamy, Barry and Vieira). We matched United for all of the game and lost the game due to an awful pass from Bellamy and lack of tracking back from the players, we went out to play an attacking game and sadly we didn't take the chances that came our way while United took one of their chances, thats the only difference
