Mancini at the game tonight

Was he in our end ? I overheard someone on the way out, saying they'd met him in the ground, but I'm sure had he been in with us, he'd have got at least one song.

Whatever your take on the guy, he kick-started our rise to the top - that cannot be denied. Will always have total respect for him.

I loved Mancini during his time hear but I fear we're getting in to a blue tinted specs situation. He's done little of note since he left and he managed us at the time when we really were out spending other clubs. With the squad we had you could argue that we shouldn't have had to wait until the 94th minute of the last game of the season to win the league. There were a fair few poor performances the following year and refusing to sell Balotelli despite knowing he wanted out and then missing out on Van Persie was a dreadful error. Initially Bobby did a great job of whipping City into shape but falling out with virtually every senior player was idiotic. In any other walk of like a manager who could neither manage upwards nor downwards would have been given the boot.

There's a very stupid gobshite next to me in 118 who believes everything went wrong because Txiki didn't like Mancini because he wasn't a yes man. It seems more the other way round. Mancini didn't like being told the facts of life and just refused to accept limitations around FFP.

If Mancini gets a song I'll join in because he earned it. if it happens it will probably come not long after we go behind. I'd rather sing Guardiola's name though. I reckon he may have a tougher job on his hands than Mancini ever did.

He didn't try to sell you some carpet or floorings did he?

I don't think Pep would be pissed off if we sung Bobby's song, would he?

Sing it loud and proud. He was responsible for making me cry with joy with the FA Cup win in 2011 and making me act like a little kid in 2012 when I had photos with Roberto and Platt on the Manchester to Abu Dhabi flight 15/05/12. Couldn't believe I was on the same flight as them 2 days after the Aguero moment!

Very fond memories of Mancini. Ran in to him at Nero once and made him watch my coffee when I had to get my sandwich. He laid the foundations and I will always thank him for that.

However the club moved on and so did he. I wish some on here would do likewise.

Central figure in our recent history, and will rightly or wrongly be remembered as a City legend by most.

Very glad he's gone though. The club has moved on quite considerably from when he left.

You're quite right but if Pep had taken over this season after 6 years of Bob (having control of transfers) the squad would have been in a much better place to roll than it is after Peli.

If Mancini had been left in charge for six years Mansour would be bankrupt and there'd be no squad left to speak of!
