There has been some hysterics over this, I like Mancini for all he has done, but this season we have under performed and he is the boss, that's life in the modern game, we are dining at the top table now.

He has taken us as far as he can, and I thank him for it, but some of the football we have played this season has been dire

Nutshell.

SSN cut to the adverts while they bus the extras into place on Chester Road.

Are you seriously watching that? I caught 2 seconds of Mike Sweeney gobbing it off before promptly switching over to NBA Playoffs - and I f**king hate basketball! ;-)

While much of what you've said is fine, this is where I don't understand it, because the word was all over the net by 8pm (ish) on Friday evening. This was well before it hit the media big time, now I don't know if City were aware of it, but they certainly should have been, because social media at City is supposedly taken very seriously, and it was from here that the news came about a couple of big punts on Pellegrini that had shortened his odds at a couple of bookies. I'm sure someone monitors social media, or had we taken our eye off the ball because it was the night before the cup final ? I'm sure it could have been better contained at this point, but hindsight is as always a wonderful thing.
I was under the impression it had leaked from the Spanish media. Not a lot city could do about that.

Sandro Rosell, making more mischief?

Balague... but he also called our owner 'suliman al fahyim'

The moments like this expose my bad english - I have no idea what does that mean.

The news channel went to adverts as the road looked quiet of rags at the parade.. :)

What bollocks am I talking? I know she is not the press officer. I assume the press officer reports to her, so she is still ultimately responsible. Mancini seems to think she had the authority to come out and defend him, but seemingly you know better than him? Strange. Maybe you can find an 80s pop Youtube video to explain how that works?

I think perhaps you do need instruction on how PR works in 2013. To suggest there "wasn't time because they were all hurrying round in the team hotel on the morning of the Cup Final" shows a staggering naivety of the modern digital media world.

It would have taken seconds to do a 2 line backing of Mancini on the clubs official Twitter / website. That would then be reported as news on SSN, all the sports radio, online papers, social media etc within minutes. Dramatically altering the mood of fans, players and staff.

Even if Mancini is getting sacked, which seems certain, the fact the club didn't come out back the manager on Saturday was a monumental mistake.

So, as opposed to bragging how ITK you are, or how great Vicky Kloss is, actually address the points I've made if you think they are bollocks.

I've never heard him 'brag about how ITK he is'

And I know you don't like other people's opinions, but for what it's worth, I think you're a dick.

No... he's not a dick. He's a blue like most of us on here.

I also agree with him regarding the PR disaster; and I'm certainly no dick! He's right, they could have nailed this friday night, without lying or looking stupid in the following days/weeks.

A 2 line statement would have been sufficient. They chose to ignore it for some reason. Stupidity of the highest fucking magnitude.

I know that Vicky is non confrontational and prefers the softly softly apporach to get the press onside... This approach has failed!

Whatever your feelings about the manager, he has been hung out to dry and deserved better!
Thanks mate. I hope that by you making the same point, people actually consider it as opposed to just reacting with their backs up because they don't like me personally for whatever reason.

As I've said earlier, a statement saying "Roberto Mancini is still the Manchester City manager and has 4 years left to run on his contract. Roberto and the club remain focused on winning the FA Cup final."

No lies, no falling out with the press, but it would have had a huge affect on the mood.

Re: Mancini Breaking News Part 4

So it,s not Pelligrini then it's De Boer if De Boer doesn't want to play out what do we do then

Re: Mancini Breaking News Part 4

You'd have thought City would have squashed the rumours Friday/Saturday get the season out of the way first, then deal with the situation and the bad press they'd have got for sacking him.

As some others have said, a short statement backing him would have helped, so what if it was lies, it would have been better than the shambles we've witnessed.

Re: Mancini Breaking News Part 4

Sorry to leave it at just this, but it could be a long couple days.

Somebody I respect, and would be in a position to know, says it ain't Pellegrini.

I can't allow myself to think it could be Jose, surely not?

Maybe De Boer. Apologies, but have to leave it at that, nothing else to add.

Looks like I could be wrong on Manuel.
