I don't believe thats the case because if it were there is nothing preventing the club making a statement categorically denying Pellegrini has agreed to be the new manager. They could have done that on Saturday.....unless this is a new twist in the saga and the previously low risk scenario is suddenly not looking so likely or straightforward.

Not surprised at all tbh. Pellegrini has got options coming out of his ears and it would've been insane for us to only have one candidate. Interesting few days ahead.
