Whether the manager stays or goes is a separate issue. Any player that gives a him or me ultimatum should be shown the door.

Again - individual yes. But if group of players worth 150-200 mil. do that than only one man will see the door.

If you want the tail to wag the dog thats exactly what you do.

Yep. If a group of players can dictate whether the manager stays or goes then you are simply buying trouble further down the line. What happens if they don't like the replacement? Or the new manager goes out of his way not to upset players in case he gets the bullet? Its basically the problem at Chelsea which started when Terry agitated to get Jose removed. Or look at Madrid where Jose has faced endless battles to control the dressing room to no avail and ends up leaving. Allegedly several key Liverpool players wanted Benitez gone and thats not worked out too well either.

Sack Mancini for not doing a good enough job then fine. Sack Mancini because some players want him gone? Then they will spend the rest of their time here swanning round doing as they please. Maybe that would account for Saturday along with all the other shit that went on.

so... whats today's news then - 54 pages of something on this thread....

Re: Mancini Breaking News Part 5

Same source saying Mancini gone as well.

Also wasn't there an academy player who tweeted that Mancini had gone today? Assuming it could be him for gross Misconduct...

Reminds me of the scene from Goodfellas where the bosses start knocking everyone off..

Confirmed by a club insider. All Mancini coaching staff except Kiddo gone. Also exited are Jim Cassell and a number of academy players.

So Kidd and Viera in charge tomorrow, then we'll probably win. I thought all the coaching staff fucked off at the start of the season though.

On a serious note, Fergie got wind of what was coming and decided there was only one thing to do, shake, rattle and roll. In other words he shit his pants. Be afraid, be very afraid.

Easy to say when it's not your money that will be needed to rebuild the squad.

Harry Redknapp, done deal. Signed a 10 year contract. This is the beginning of an era.

It's spelt "error" not "era"!
Criminally overlooked post. Take a bow son.

I never said it's great thing to happen but if it does outcome is inevitable. You just don't sell 5 for ex. of your best players to keep manager.

If it goes Chelsea way then yeah, it's better to show a door to players but for one off it's manager who's kicked out.
