definitely Nasri, Kolarov & Pantillimon, maybe Dzeko - Garcia and Rodwell, for me, were not Mancini's signings and the rest should form the basis of the squad (maybe Tevez will leave as well) for next season with the addition of at least five players alot better than any brought in last season

-- Sun May 12, 2013 8:34 pm --

definitely Nasri, Kolarov & Pantillimon, maybe Dzeko - Garcia and Rodwell, for me, were not Mancini's signings and the rest should form the basis of the squad (maybe Tevez will leave as well) for next season with the addition of at least five players alot better than any brought in last season

How's Malagas style of football?

Pass it around. Their full backs almost play as wingbacks
Press high and defend in numbers when have havent got the ball. High energy team
Central defence looks a bit suspect but Demichelis isnt playing
Isco looks tidy very similar to Silva

Nice summary that. I've just watched the 1st half an hour and you're spot on.

I've noticed they play quicker than us and press higher and quicker than us.

Isco seems to float about going pretty much wherever he likes.

The other nice thing is they actually cross the ball to.

Manchini should have been given a minimum of one more season, bringing in HIS own players, really gutted

Agreed..... and what you say should be obvious to everyone.
Please enlighten all.

Hart, Zabaleta, Nastasic, Kompany, Clichy, Barry, Yaya, Nasri, Silva, Aguero, Tevez, Pantilimon, Kolarov, Lescott, Garcia, Rodwell, Milner & Dzeko.

Who of those are not good enough for us? And how many of those you name are Mancini signings?

He was not allowed to sign his first choice targets last year. By his own players, I mean his first choice targets this year. Hope that's clarified it for you.

This Malaga v Seville game is turgid. Maybe the players know something? Oh, hang on that was yesterday wasn't it?

Isco looks average at the moment, nothing special.

Isco is a great talent but is heading towards 50 games this season and has lost his sharpness, much like many of these Malaga players. Pellegrini's tactics with our players and a few additions could be fantastic, he doesn't allow his players to remain static which is a problem of ours (ie. Silva moving forward with the ball, all of the attackers standing still with a man on them, leaving Silva in a "What the fook should I do?" situation). Right now he has a team of players, maybe only 4-5 of whom are good enough for City's 25-man squad.

If Sheikh Mansour feels it's best for the club to change manager then I respect his decision. However, the way it has been done - much like the Mark Hughes dismissal - is a disgrace. Garry Cook got the blame for Hughes' departure and it's happened again under the new CEO.

The sad thing is it will leave a sour taste in Mancinis mouth that means he won't return to the Etihad in the future as a fan. Other clubs revere their legendary managers but we appear to have majorly pissed off ours.

It's out of order and as much as I love City I am really fucked off with them right now.

Its been a long time since I've felt this low. I can't believe how the events of the last twenty four hours are unfolding.
On Tuesday after the WBA win I was buzzing. CL qualification secured and then what came after I thought things were rolling along nicely.
Then yesterday morning things just didn't seem quite right, with the pre match speculation.....
Well you know the story, and now I'm at a low ebb.
I'll be their on Sunday but to quote the song - If I hadn't seen such riches, I could live with being poor. I'm not remotely excited about another managerial change.
There's more to life than football but I feel like mines been turned upside down in a matter of hours.
Me too mate. It just doesn't feel right. I don't want us to get a new manager and I wonder how the final would have played out without all thes rumours flying about.
