Just think about it, if you were the owner of this club, giving Mancini 500 m to spend and then he fails to win anything. That would've been a pain in the ass for me. So, it's understandable if they sack him!

You feel like your life has been turned upside down over a football manager being sacked? Deary me.

Football managers get sacked, it happens, has happened before and will happen again, deal with it.

I understand #ManchesterCity owner Sheikh Mansour had made up his mind to sack Roberto #Mancini long before the FA Cup loss. As early as Feb

Sounds like the owner had enough.

It was earlier than that. As soon as Champions League fate was known.

Pellegrini was targeted well before February.

I can confirm what Tolmie said there about Mancini's fate. I didn't know about Pellegrini however. I thought it would be Guardiola since our "Barca" approach.

Thanks for posting. Interesting.

It's sad because Pellegrini is being awarded more respect at Liverpool, United and Arsenal forums than on a forum of the club he is set to manager. He is a very good coach who will do a good job. As Balague just said on Sky, he tends to get the very best out of most of his teams and has exceptional man management skills so might be able to knit the players together into a team a little more. What you get on here is like... if Sevilla score in the next half hour, you'll have people saying "He lost tonight, he's shit, do we really want him?". So much narrow-mindedness.

Personally I think most of us are blinded by what he has done for us after winning nothing for 35 years, for me anyway I feel I can't criticise anything Mancini does..

Like always though I'll back the next manager and the club 100%

I can totally understand what you are saying.we will always try and support the manager on the stands, but the power of the the web is to much now.

Watching the Malaga game - they do seem to put pressure on from the front when not in posession.

Just in case some people weren't bothered to click the link here's a few comments about Pelli from Liverpool fans:

"An actually decent, smart manager in charge of that squad is scary."

"He'd be a fantastic manager for them I think. And you just know that he isn't going to go gung-ho and splash massive amounts of money to overhaul the squad. He'll buy just the right players and will make them into a real force in Europe as well, unfortunately."

"Man Utd appointing a manager tactically 20 years behind the City manager."

"I reckon City will dominate for the forseeable future now."

He hasn't spent £500m just for this season.
