Getting the impression things aren't going how our new directors had planned.

Sounds like Mancini has been playing back me / sack me for quite a few months.

Soriano and Begiristain start lining up options for when the boss decides Mancini's time is up. Mostly old pals - De Beour, Pellegrini, Guardiola.

De Beour says yes. Pellegrini says maybe. Guardiola says maybe, in a couple of years, if the whole Bayern thing doesn't work out.

Meanwhile, Pellegrini and his agent start playing Chelsea, PSG, Barcelona and City off against eachother over last few weeks. City directors then meet Pellegrini's agent to see if he's still interested.

Barcelona then decide to call Pellegrini's bluff on the eve of the cup final and leak the story to Ballague, getting revenge on Soriano in the process.

Question is whether Barcelona really want Pellegrini or they just did it to piss off Soriano when the deal was already done.

If the deal is done would have thought the club or Pellegrini would have said it by now. Still sounds very much up in the air.

Meanwhile Mancini doesn't know what the decision is going to be and takes it out on Kloss who knows even less (not good for a director of communications).

Wonder how long they'll wait before going to plan B.

If that's the case then they need to just fire Mancini now. Waiting untill they get a new manager and holding on to Mancini if things don't work out only increases this talk 10 fold. Can you imagine next season with this talk of "is Mancini going to make it threw the season?" crap? It will suck the life out of the club.

On the BBCs gossip site

"Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini has dismissed reports he has agreed a deal to take over from Roberto Mancini at Manchester City. Pellegrini said: "I have not spoken to anyone. Rumours are coming from many sides."

Still hope for Bobby Manc

And now one of the spanish paper's are saying that pellegrini has said hes not even been approached or spoken about the job this is getting weird

Yeh, if he wasn't approached, why did the club not squash rumors? If rumors are true, maybe he is being replaced, but by someone else, it is getting very weird. But at the same time, perhaps the Spanish duo have a case in replacing Bobby. We are blinded a bit by emotion. You have to except that performances have steadily dropped over the past 18 months and if it is true that he is unpopular with a lot of people at the club, maybe it is time to move on, nevertheless, the lack of concrete support for Pellegrini is very strange.

Think a better question would be, even if retained, WHY would Mancini want to stay here, natter this?

Why is Kloss being blamed? She's not even a serious player within City, her opinions mean nothing to the likes of Soriano and Begiristain.

Part of our Press and PR Department.

Same reason Marwood got shit in the summer. She is a soft target who has no power over Mancini. He is really having a go at the owner, Soriano, Txiki etc but hasn't got the bottle to do it directly, so picks on people like Marwood & Kloss toget his message through indirectly, as they just follow orders & don't have the power to sack him.

Very very poor behaviour.

Bingo

I'm laughing at people who really think it's Marwood who decided to not buy 100 millions worth of players for Mancini last summer and that Mancini criticizing him was exactly that - criticizing him.

I mean, wtf are those people thinking..

Or it's because she is the head of communications and an integral part of our PR department, and is in turn responsible for dealing, or in this case not dealing, with issues such as club statements.

I have been thinking this today also.

I also think those wanting Mancini to stay for the sake of "stability" are not actually going to get anything that is stable. I think he lost the dressing room some time ago and I dont know how highly those upstairs are holding him... for a while it has been or seems to be a very rocky ship indeed with Mancini at the helm.

That doesn't make any sense.

Also, Mancini didn't order anyone. He's highlighting how poorly this has all been managed.

What he has said isn't wrong, some people must just not like how he has said it.

That's the problem though, everyone "thinks" this and that.

Nobody knows anything for certain, so speculation won't get us anywhere but an extra 50+ pages

-- May 13th, '13, 03:21 --

Mancini is not one that can order anything to Kloss but it makes sense that you didn't understand it. You never do.
I am not misunderstanding anything.

He didn't order anyone.

See, you won't even allow for debate.

Just snide comments.

Explain to me how Mancini ordered anyone?

He's saying what ought to have been done, there's a difference.

Sheikh Mansour must have seen it as an insult and therefore has had the final say. He has done a similar decision at Al Jazira Club where he fired Franky Vercauteren for not getting on with the players. And throughout this season Mancin has been pissing off everybody from the top down to the players even if he was thinking it was the right thing to do it is not the best for his long-term job prospects.

He can view it as an insult, but at the end of the day it was unprofessional of the club to let the manager be undermined and under pressure the eve of our biggest match of the season.

Something should have been done, whether Mancini has been too public or rash in stating it, he's right.
