Am I the only one that thinks the biggest difference between us and them today was the fact that they've been playing matches every couple of days and we haven't?

If we're honest with ourselves, Aguero should have been sent off, and torres was fouled in the box by Kompany. We were shit the entire second half, and the negative tactics brought the pressure on us.

But yeah, pure genius.

Rafa? Is it you?

Re: Robert "the genius" Mancini

Well Roberto and well done the team... so we rode a bit of luck and yes Kun should have walked. Big deal. We have conceded one goal in the competition all season. Regardless of the the opposition, that's good going and RM deserves his share of the credit!

Off course, should Wigan beat us.....! ;)

Such a poor post.

Pretty standard from him tbh.

Wow, you're one sad little man.

And the need to assure others by putting "Blue, not red" in your profile really makes one wonder.

Re: Robert "the genius" Mancini

An earlier poster mentioned it and that is the inherent bias that Roberto has had to overcome with regards Ferguson.

A couple of years ago Robert Martinez and Rafa Benitez both mentioned that you not only have to win a match but overcome the bias and over respect shown to Ferguson. His relationship with other managers is too close. Take for example when his son was sacked from Preston he recalled 2 loan players the next day and Pullis at Stoke recalled 3 of his players. What did it have to do with him.

Bruce's teams I don't think ever beat him. He has socialised with Allardyce for years and Moyes always gets his team to raise their game against us and put up a fight. Ferguson is always on the phone to players going through a bad time in the hope it will be repaid in years to come.

Roberto has done well to come into Fergusons back yard, take 3 trophies, another visit to Wembley in May and go to Old Trafford twice and win. He's had to adjust to our culture and learn the language.

Roberto has done well. Just to have money does not always guarantee success.

I think the Roberto song will echo around the Etihad on Wednesday, and he deserves it.
