Mancini Doesn't Understand...

Re yaya:

This is modern-day football, like it or lump it, and it is probably time that we started to give Yaya Touré the respect of focusing on what he does on the football pitch rather than the zeros in his bank account. Touré was regarded as a conservative, sideways player when he signed from Barcelona but Mancini has turned him into an attacking midfielder of distinction – strength, power, passing ability, stamina and, when he works up a head of steam, a man who can charge past opponents. He let himself down badly with the cheap attempt to win a penalty early in the second half but, that apart, his was a performance to acclaim, particularly in the opening half. City may have made Touré (if the sums are true) the first player to earn in excess of £200,000 a week but he, in turn, has enriched the club.

Totally agree with this. Mancini has transformed Yaya.

Well to be honest he didn't get the formation quite right.

Playing Zabaletta at left back against Nani was an obvious mistake.

I would also have Kolo playing instead of Lescott.

My formation ...

=======================Hart=========================

Richards=========K Toure ======Kompany===========Kolarov

=======================Barry========================

Johnson=============Y Toure=======================Silva

================Tevez===============================

=====================Dzeko==========================

Wow, a City fan who doesn't even know AJ has a long-term injury?

Yep - didn't know - ty

SWP down the right then...

Well, I would have bought a CB in the summer to play alongside Kompany for one.
Zabs would have been in midfield in place of barry. Kolarov at left back [he is not a left winger-different position to LB and simply switching him from LB to LW is not wise]
Dzeko up front with Tevez and Silva supporting. Yaya dropped to gve him the rocket he needs.
It's not simply abpout stating a different team it's about how the plaeyrs approach games and play a game as it unfolds during the course of the game.

So because you couldn't find your own argument you scurry around to find a journo's argument to do it for you? Excellent SWP, you should be proud.
Mancini has changed Yaya i agree. But thise ramoaging runs every few games are not enough at the level we are at now. If you are satisfied with yaya doing this every few games when he can be bothered you are easily satisfied. Too many gamnes have seen yaya strolling about doing absolutely bugger all.
In future try to argue your points yourself.
I could easily have searches for the MEN report from a few weeks ago that described Yaya's perfoemance as a disgrace to the club but i didn't need to. I have my own opinion.

I don´t understand - we spend more money, get better players, they get worse but we keep losing to the fookers and people on here keep saying we´re getting closer. We´re not fookin closer coz we´re a bunch of fookin bottling twats led by another bottler who can´t get his interhational stars to perform rudimentary tasks like putting the fookin ball in from 5 yards out. We will not finish top 4 this season and you can forget any fookin trophies with this lot

Man City boss Roberto Mancini on his side's derby defeat: "Wayne Rooney can change every game because he is a fantastic player. But we didn't deserve to lose. We played very well and I'm not worried for the result because this is football. What was important is that we played a good game."

nope, sorry mate, we have to win, playing well is a luxury on top. Obviously you don't understand what the derby means either, so er, well done on playing well and leaving us 5th if Spurs and Chelsea win their games in hand, oh and for also leaving us without any doubt that we won't be competing for the league this season, nice one berto...

suppose we should expect this reactionary rubbish after a Derby defeat. We dominated much of the game and Mancini didnt miss Silvas chance at 3 mins. Surely you can see we are moving in the right direction. It is the negative mentality of some of the city support that is as much of the problem as anything else. Bet u sit at comms mumbling and grumbling to yourself and look around in disdain when the likes of me stands up and supports the team vocally. It is a two way thing and the players are human. I wholly believe in the 12th man analogy. You obviously do not.
this is it

You do realise what a prick you come across as don't you?

I already said I think Yaya has been good this season. You laughed like the little girl that you are. I then happen to read the above which I post and you have another hissy fit.

Do what you want. You are in the noisy minority once again and have shown that your arguments are feeble and you have no rationale other than being a moaning little thing.

Enjoy your own opinion, only you do.

Seriously bad op, the manager was spot on we dominted the game but they're "quality" shined through. Care to explain how you wouldve stopped rooneyd goal, you fucking goon!

Nowt to do with Bobby but World Cup winners should not be missing sitters like that - that cost us full stop. As to the 12th man our support outsung those scummers all fookin day by the way but we couldn´t nail them when they were in the coffin . I am fookin angry tonight - this shit is seemingly endless

Well no one. I still remember Joe Hart's save against Van Persie - that was world class.

Hahahaha

We've had darker days than this ...

People need a sense of humour [preferably black] to support City.

In terms of your argument, I'm convinced that City will qualify for the CL and I really wouldn't swap our squad for anyone else's.

If you look at it from a long term perspective, there's no question. The balance of power is shifting.
