Mancini in!

Why is there even debate just 2 months into his reign as manager? Hughes had us in a bloody relagation battle in his first half of his first season and he was defended to the hilt by some of the same people who want Mancini out for all his 18 months. Let me be clear I didn't really want Hughes out in the first place but I didn't have a choice so I'll stand by our current manager as the man for the job untill he's had a reasonable amount of time in charge before even judging him because thats whats good for the club at the end of the day. I think we only appear up to it when we're against the big teams and that looks like a lack of motivation on the players part, which lets face it, happened under Hughes too, so maybe we need to look at the men on the pitch rather than those on the touchline.

Agreed.

I find it pathetic how much quieter it is on here at the moment than it is after a game where we have not even lost, just drawn.

Either the usual suspects actually are rag imposters or, even worse (and more likely), are City 'fans' who seem to genuinely revel in knocking the club.

I reckon most are rag imposters. I know full well many rags were going on the radio posing as City fans as well as attending Kippax back in the day trying to start lies and trouble off. I knew a few who thought they were really clever for doing it. Sad lads in my opinion. They'll definitely be coming on here sprouting it.

Also, there are a few impressionable City fans floating about who start jumping on band wagon created by those imposters - not too bright these lot and generally just repeat the same crap. If these lot were clever enough to formulate an opinion that wasn't detrimental to the club, we'd hear much less of the moaning.

That then leaves another number who would be better off going to moan somewhere else and are in bad habits. They're attitude is well suited to United's future. Tick, tock on the return of the United club of the 70s and 80s in the not so distant future.

Most people are behind what's happening here and many can't be bothered responding to stupid comments. I've been trying to keep quiet for a long while but with the quality and future we have the time for building this club is now. We are moving in the right direction year after year everywhere. I still would be happy with top 6 this, top 4 next and then contending for titles. Anything else is a bonus. We should be aiming for 3rd this year all being said though.

CTID, MCFC and tick, tock.

P.S. Tell any rags today not to get too excited about our result against Chelsea because we'll be sure to give them a drubbing at our ground in April to even things up in the title race.

Point made then. (I'm the OP btw!)

I am sick of these kids wanting to win everything yesterday, and quite frankly very happy with how we're doing. Alright so we missed out on a cup final due to them, but when are we normally in semis?

I suggest the Mancini/Hughes/Royle/Keegan/Pearce/Clark/Neal/Ball/etc out brigade just fuck off, and let the team play football!

Agreed.

Bobby Manc is more proven than Hughes and given time will do a better job for us. Keep behind BM. BM may decide to walk on us in the Summer as the agreement goes both ways! I'm convinced he'll stay though.

Brilliant Goose. It's that kiddies attitude that makes me think rag imposters for a few on here.

i havent ever said i want him sacked i have said i am abit worried by his tactics in the recent games but today all credit has to go to him because he got that spot on!

well done bobby manc
I think he played almost the exact same tactics today as he played for Stoke at home/away and that was the problem. The tactics are spot on for today but not spot on for other teams. If he starts changing the style of play depending on opposition we will do well. Must also mention that the players played a blinder today and weren't so good away at Hull, home against Stoke (cup), and away against Stoke (league). Tactics have been suspect but so have the players performances. I hope we can kick on from here and a Stoke victory today really gives us a shout of 3rd again especially if we win at the Emirates later this season. Always said I wanted 3rd. ;)

Yes, but today we have Tevez . . .

I think we can all agree that Mancini is talented. He was a brilliant player and he took three years of relentless crap in Italy from the fans and the press.
Yes, he is a relatively 'new' manager and am sure is still learning, but the bottom line is he could be a great manager.
All I want is to give him

TIME

Having had soooooooooooooooo many managers over the years, I am sure that if some of them had been given a decent amount of time, they could have also done well.
If we look at the top of the table and consistent success, Everton, Villa, the Scum & Arsenal have longevity and consistency in common - even Liverpool to some extent (their problems are the wank owners).
Time please
