On the issue of Kidd I can agree that he might be surplus since Platt arrived, but as for Mancini it would take on hell of an info to go against the words of Khaldoon and Mansour eh?

I simply don't believe it - the Mancini bit.

Losing the title on the last day of the season, 2nd place, finishing with a record amount of points plus all the other records broken this season would have meant he got at least another season.

Plus, why on earth would the Sheikh make a press release saying he was satisified with the teams performance and then sack the manager a few weeks later - he'd look like a frigging knee-jerking idiot.............

I'd say that was absolutely not the case, Mancini clearly gets on very well with Kidd and respects his input but Kidd is 63 now and he had a brush with cancer a few years back. The job is hardly stress-free (see Sunday for proof!) so if he wanted to retire at the top it wouldn't surprise me.
