Still, when you see what our squad is actually capable of when they're happy I'm sure the City fan in you will see the right decision was made. Maybe you'll even come to thank Ferran and Txiki ... who knows. :)
I genuinly hope you're right - but so far I'm not overly impressed by them (not just re Mancini). You have clearly nailed your colours to the mast about them - but why???? Yes "Barcelona" but surely you can see the mitigating fortunate factors there at the time - It doesn't mean it will translate here. Like I said - I live in hope - you seem to live in certainty. Don't get me wrong I admire your forthright optimism.
I agree withn you GM, I remain unconvinced by Sariano and Txiki, in fact there are are a few things about the way the club is being run at the moment that annoy me. The sight of Pellegrini being all friendly to some I.T losers on his first day at work really bothered me for some reason, I don't want a nice old man in a cardigan, I want a mercurial but volatile (and strangely sexy) football god, who tells the dull as ditchwater middle managers that our club now seems to be full of to '"stop telling me how the bloody tele in the changing room works, and get me a brew and Isco immediately"! Getting rid of Mancini will come back to bite us on the arse, mark my words.
The irony in your post is stunning. The attitude you espouse is precisely the attitude that got Mancini the sack. I think if you look around you, you will find that the best managers are those that foster co operation and unity in a club. Fwiw, i think he looks great in his cardigan.
