Mancini On Soriano

Mancini was their own man, they sacked Hughes and appointed Mancini. Remember?
Well I'm not so sure that's quite true, daft as it may seem. They were still looking for a manager some months after he was initially appointed.

I believe he was a temporary appointment with the fall back position of being made permanent. When our first choices fell through he was kept on and, as it turned out, won us things. I'll probably get crucified as usual for saying that but my sources on that were pretty solid.

I'm loving Bluemoon at the moment. Never been funnier. What with this thread, the Spanish Malpractices thread, the mid-level signings thread. Sheer comedy.

We better win the prem and get out if the group stages of the champs
Or cheeky, sorriano and pelle will be toast on here

They have been built up to be the best in the world so lets see if they deliver
Be great if they did.

No. No. No.

Pellegrini has never, ever been hailed as that. Never.

The Spanish double act have but that's down to Barcelona. Pellegrini was a relatively unknown manager to these boards and very much seen as a sideways appointment with an inferior C.V. Lets not start twisting things Colin. No need for it.

Top 3 and progression out of the CL group stages and I am happy. I feel we can win the league though and I will expect to at least challenge for it in March rather than raise the white flag in the middle of February.

The most promising sight yet is Navas. A player who 100% would not have been a target of Mancini.

Just read the lot, what a difference a few months makes in regards to the stance on Mancini now.

Anyway, couple of noters.
Mancini is quoted as saying he does not see Ferran and Txiki as above him.
Mancini is called a champion by Soriano.
Mancini can work with these people, football people.

Sorry folks but the shit lies at the door of Mancini in all of this. Mancini thought he won the war when Marwood was deployed in another role and then entered two guys who have helped overhaul imo the best club in world football.

Mancini knew the problems but didn't fix them, thing is he was the problem and we fixed it by moving him on. Simple as that.

We should be walking the league next season then if the problem is solved
Cheeky and sorriano at the helm
Better man manager pelle in place
Best squad in the prem with some top class additions
We should be looking at more than the 89 points Mancini got us.

Edit just seen your other post
You will be happy with a top 3 and out of the groups
Should be the title nip with this team

It's difficult not to be when the factions squabble.
The most amusing thing is the reversal. Now The Cabal are now the tubthumpers proclaiming dissenters of the Spanish Duo are maniacs for being critical and The Bottomfeeders are now the dissenters claiming they're doing nothing but having an opinion - the classic Cabal defence. I'm enjoying it thoroughly. It's like wrestling. One day there's a goody, and a baddy, then the switch, and everyone acts like nothing has happened. It's piss funny.

With our squad according to some a half blind, deaf. mute, midget with down syndrome could win the league if appointed as manager. So I'm expecting great things from Pelle or I'm going to be extremely pissed off.

He has a point there, we were nothing without him.... well for 44 years at least. A bit more gratitude please!

The man who should be getting the credit is Sheikh Mansour as without him we could only dream of winning the league. The is no way on god's earth that Mancini would have won the league without the financial backing we received. So excuse people if they would prefer to offer their gratitude to the Sheikh rather than a manager who thinks we all owe him something despite only being at City for the money in the first place.

So I take it you didn't enjoy winning the Prem. I agree the Sheikh is the best thing to happen to our club, however, hughes couldn't win it with the massive financial backing he had. I know many managers could have done it and possibly done it better but remember. We went after Mancini and he delivered the FA Cup and Premiership title - respect (that's all) all round I say.

Of course I did and I do respect Mancini for what he has achieved. However I don't agree with the way he talks as if City owes him and the club would be nothing without him because that is simply not the case.

"If I had stayed at City, I would have done everything to sign Cavani," he added. "We were close to him. He's an extraordinary player. Also Fernandinho is my choice."

Hahahaha. Roberto is there anything we shouldn't thank you for ...

Mancini told the journo he was and is very popular with the fans of City. He should read thjis topic to come down to earth. Time travels, life goes on, and the club moves on.
We thank players and managers, we support the club.
