Mancini or Hiddink

Ian Holloway has no honours, and hes a very good manager. Mancini took on a very strong Inter side who probably could of won the title uncoached, not to mention the fact most of their rivals we're in the middle of a gambling scandal. That's not to say I don't like Mancini, I'm just saying honours means very little, it's going beyond the expectations of the team is the sign of a good manager.

Even before the betting scandal, Mancini still managed to win Inter their first piece of silverware for 7 years. Also, what he did as Fiorentina and Lazio was no mean feat. He took charge of a debt ridden club in crisis (Fiorentina) without having any of the neccessary managerial ''badges'', and won them the Italian cup. Then, at Lazio, again a club suffering finincially, he again won the Italian cup, got them to the semi-finals of the UEFA cup and got them back into the Champions League.

EDIT: By the way, as for that Inter side winning the title uncoached, Roma had a very strong side back then and hadn't suffered from the calcopoli scandal. Whats more, Benitez has basically taken charge of Mourinho's Inter side from last season that won the treble and look at them now? What a difference a manager makes.

All Italian teams, his negative style dosnt fit the premier league its as simple as that.
Fergie has won a shit load with united, do you think he could go to italy or spain and do the same, I dont think so.

Then why hadn't Inter won the title for many years before Mancini became their manager?

Inter had a cursed and bottling identity (similar to City), no matter how much money Moratti spent, which Champions he bought from other clubs or transfer record he broke, Inter couldn't win a thing apart from a UEFA cup. When Mancini went to Inter he changed this but it took atleast a season to change the identity into a winning one.

Mancini also suffered from alot of draws in his first season at Inter. Given the time, he'll deliever the title. Mancini will focus on getting 4th or 3rd, win a cup either FA cup and Europa league and build from there. Winning the league is very difficult, you need a clear identity and style. City's identity has been that of inconsistency, bad luck, losing at the last minute, shipping goals etc. Mancini has to change all that, one game at a time. Even if you have these world class players, you can't escape the club's identity and mentality. Mancini is working hard to change all this.

Inter are 5th place are the moment under Benitez, an end of an era from Mancini's time of 3 Serie A titles to Mourinho's 2 titles, and the treble. I don't think Inter dropped lower that 2nd over the past 4 seasons.
