Why argue about personal preferences? Personally, I prefer Pep because he is one of the very best managers in history and has created one of the very best English teams ever. Both Bobby and Pep enter the history books, but for different reasons. One won the league, the other created a team for the ages.

Mentality wise, Mancini was closer to the fan culture. Pep is a bit more intellectual, restrained, respectful to rivals, which in the eyes of amateurish body language readers makes him less passionate and more distant - 'not really one of us'.

Agree with everything you said until this,

Nonsense, his attitude to the derby games particularly last season showed a complete lack of respect to the fans of this club, to beat our cross town rivals is still a big deal, the bragging rights in this city is still a big deal.

As a Barca man and a Catalonian he should be fully aware of rivalry, Barca hate Madrid with a passion, I hope when we play the rags this season he sends out this team with passion and fire in their bellies, however uneducated that may be!

Weren't Pep's City the first club to win 3 consecutive league games at Manure ground? Maybe, just maybe, he understands the nature of the derby. He isn't daft, is he?

Last season we lost the derby at their ground because Pep was already thinking about Real and rested half of the team. Real in the CL is a bigger game than a game at Manure which decides absolutely nothing about our league standing in that particular season.

Preparation is one thing, disrespect for a major rival is another, the 3 points the rags got of us ensured Champions league football, without that they would have been utterly mullered financially this season.
 
Mancici surely!?

I don't think anything will ever come close to that first title win against QPR. That's the advert for football for me, if I ever am in a situation where I have to try and spark someone's interest in football I'd explain the story of that season and then make them watch that game start to finish.

Thought their was something seriously wrong when a manager can be sacked for getting the runners up spot in the league and FA cup. Thought it could only happen in Scotland.
